venting is fine, that's not the issue here. you know it. i know it. by not taking a stand on such things we are demoralising the ethos of this community. people who say it's okay to say what you want are wrong. i have my faults too, however i listen to the community carefully. this member has been given many a chance, and expresses his recidivist nature openly without a care and is dismissive on all fronts. allowances have been granted, however this member needs to be fully aware of the forum rules. that's my take on it and last word.
You do realise there is an ignore feature if you don't want to see a particular member's posts, right? The same applies to Hope4all and anyone else who can't tolerate Peter's negativity.
I'll be honest. I'm not a patient person and Peter drives me up the wall sometimes. But whenever he drives me up the wall and I think about
it later, I realise that it's because his posts make me feel uncomfortable. But that's not his
fault. I have realised that a) I am frequently not as patient and empathetic as I would like to think I am, and b) Peter's obsessiveness, rigidness, loneliness, etc. rings more bells with me than I would like. By the grace of whatever, I have been able to overcome the worst of my rage and sadness, but I would never say it's gone away completely: both are always lurking there in the background, but I'm no longer overwhelmed by them on a day to day basis.
If Peter bothers you so much, I suggest you examine yourself a little bit more and stop blaming Peter solely for your negative reaction to him.
