My boyfriend gasped for air about 3:30 in the morning. I tried to wake him up. He wouldn't wake up. So I got
my roommate, his daughter in law to come try to help me wake him up. He wouldn't wake up. I called 911. His son gave him compressions until the paramedics got here.. we couldn't bring him back.

I'm so devastated. I don't know how to live without him.

Hi Karen, they will probably be seeing my therapist next week. I was scheduled to see him this week but he was out sick so hi I tried to call today but I haven't heard back so I'm sure I will hear back next week. I haven't seen him in a while because he had several weeks off for the holidays but he's really good about seeing me so I should be able to get in next week. Anyway I'm going to go to sleep now I'll talk to you later. Thanks for being there and listening to me.

You have to do it on your profile. She can't see this, so if somebody else would tell her that would be awesome...

Chris this is from Karen.

"You have to do it on your profile. She can't see this, so if somebody else would tell her that would be awesome...

I want to tell how overwhelmed I am for you. I can't imagine how you feel, I can only say the overflow of sadness and shock I empathize with.

Everyone grieves in their own way Chris, so whatever feels right to you, doesn't harm you, is what is correct.

I know that in circumstances such as yours, many people after a while, find that purchasing a new mattress aids in moving on. I am not suggesting immediately. Just something to write down.

Talk about him as often as you can, getting the pain out, celebrating his life, is a good way to begin healing some of your loss.

I wish you Peace and comfort. Gentle hugs.

Hi guys, thanks for all your positive words. I guess I'm still in shock I don't know it's confusing right now I can't think straight I'm tired and I medication is not working for my pain and I went to the hospital and all they gave me was Toradol which doesn't really do anything it was kind of a joke it took the weight pain down just a tiny bit then went to sleep and I woke up with just as much if not more pain. However, the good news is I get to have surgery on Friday and although this may not be the best of times to do it I don't care I just want I'm tired of being in pain.

Yeah, it is nice to get anaesthetised sometimes smile

It's so hard to transition from thinking about someone all the time, to thinking more about yourself. You get used to putting your attention on them, and living for them.
Take the time to look to your needs, which deserve your attention. And give love to yourself. There's always a lot gong on, and it is ok to let yourself be distracted, and to gently feel other things than just grief and loss. Life is short, when it comes down to it.

Take care.

Good luck with the surgery, I hope the recovery goes well.

Be gentle with yourself, this is a tough time emotionally and physically even without the surgery.

Peace.

Thank you everybody for your kind comments and reassuring words. The last couple days I've been just a whirlwind of physical pain and mental pain I don't know which is worse they're pretty much equal messed up thankfully I don't usually feel both of them at the same time.
