While the sun was out it was wonderfully warm again today. My daughter bought me a new pruning set and I took advantage of the temps and pruned back the catmint. The new growth was hidden under the skeletal remains of last years growth.
I cleaned up the scattered dead leaves and found more crocus blooming and another spring bulb (can't recall the name just now) is in bud. A few inches further over, the Spanish Blue bells are coming up, too!
Tomorrow is forecasted for rain. Will be a good day to haul out the sewing machines and get started on the slip covers.
I got brave today and examined the plastic covered books for any sign of bed bugs and, finding none, I released them from their encasements and filled my bookshelf once again! My books. My friends that I visit with in my times of solitude. Jean M. Auel, Ted Dekker, John Jakes, many others. I love these friends. They visit when I want them to, never comment on my housekeeping and are content to sit and wait for the next invitation. They inform me, entertain me, teach me.
I even have a few new friends that I plan to get aquainted with, outside on the patio this summer.
