With so much happening in the world, it seems many people are reacting badly emotionally. Has anyone else noticed this when they are out and about? People seem unhinged, and ready to go off at the slightest provocation.

At least once a week, I come across a public shouting match between strangers. Two weeks ago, it was a man parked in an illegal space, who started arguing with the parking officer. Just shouting and abusing the poor guy. Today, it was in front of Costco. A man had parked his BMW in front of the door of the store while he ran in. When he came out, another woman and a man were standing there, and they were all screaming at one another "Shut up. You are stupid. Just shut up."

I admit--I tend to get extra friendly and smiling when stressed out or anxious, so people do react differently. It just seems that the discord of our public sphere is spreading in all directions.

Yes, I have noticed this.

I believed a lot of this is the fear of the uncertainty of our country.

The on slaught everyday of stressful events in the media. The news always dramatizes.

Some news sources do not tell the truth, report rumors, before the truth is even known. Hard to know what is true.

My belief is we can only focus on ourselves and how we react to those around us.

Tough world at times, but it is what it is.

Our shells are the size required to contain the love of the heart, the joy of spirit and the wealth of compassion.

I have learned it also protects the tenderness of the heart, vunerability of the spirit and the shattering steps moving towards compassion; for self and the world.

My we all have a BIG shell.
