19 July was very exciting. The whole Kittel crash, resignation, and resultant sulk is just silly. IS it me, or does this year's tour feature a lot more self-centered finger pointers? I prefer the riders (and teams) that just do their job and accept the blame if things don't work out.

Dan Martin is a-ma-zing. He has a concussion, he has wrecked several times. But he just keeps powering on, and beating other cyclists. I also have been impressed with Bardet. I like Aru, but Astana needs more key team members if they want to take a run at the podium. That is the main problem, as I see it, with Movistar. The loss of Valverde early doomed them.

Three more stages! Then,a little rest and the Vuelta.
