My Mother for the last few months has been going through hell and on July 16th she died while in Hospice. Hospice made her last few weeks more comfortable for her. She's in Michigan and I'm in Texas and I have been going back and forth.
Will be leaving to go to Michigan on Saturday. Memorial is on Monday.
She is finally at peace and has mercy.

I owe a lot of apologies for not being on here especially to Turtle, for which I'm truly sorry.

Thoughts for you and your family. My mom died a few days earlier, and hospice was wonderful in the last month. It is still hard, but knowing that Mom is released from her illnesses is a good thing.

Gentle hugs to you Chartreux. A loving welcome to the sad sisterhood.

Be gentle with yourself. The best advice I got when my Mom died was from my oldest brother...Do NOT feel any guilt if you are feeling somewhat relieved. There is so much pressure when we spend any amount of time 'waiting'. Take some time to adjust to your new 'position in the universe'.
