They say that there are other programs that do cover dental Pitmom, maybe checking that out would help. I wear a denture so that helps me. No more tooth problems. I hope you find something to help. I am always seeing the ads on tv.

I went without a front tooth for a couple of days when it fell out in my sleep. That was right before I got my dentures. I know how it feels to be missing a tooth in the front, and it is no fun.

I wish you the best Pitmom. I hope it gets remedied soon.

Take care and try to have a wonderful day.

Hey HT... Hugs to you too mate.

Hugs, Karen...

Prayers for you Trina, hoping this may pass or level off.

If not, be sure to tell your doc (but then, you already know that).

Hope you feel better soon!

Lynnwood, I am SO SORRY you are experiencing Vertigo. I simply cannot live with that. I got Vertigo after taking Synthroid for Hypothyroidism. Do a google search of your new meds along with the keyword "vertigo." I found many people saying they got the side effect of Vertigo with my med which helped me to rule it in as a culprit. My vertigo ceased after the med was out of my system. Hope you are feeling better!

Thanks, all.

Still some vertigo, slowly going away. Not Menier's, not any new meds. Benign positional gobbledygook. Stupid thing is there is NO CAUSE, NO SOLUTION (other than the Epley Maneuver), and NO PREVENTION.

Oh, they told me not to look back over my shoulder. Not sure how I'm supposed to drive, etc for the next 40 years without ever doing that! So I imagine more vertigo in my future, based on this being the 5th episode already this year.

This is one of the more frustrating things I've encountered!

Lynnwood - I am so sorry. I can only imagine your frustration. Since my Vertigo was "med induced" I will never go back on that med. I sincerely hope this gets better and that your doctors can find a way to help you.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and thoughts.

I stop the medication and went back on baclofen 15 mg a day until I hear back from the neurologist.

These days we cannot get in touch with the doctor except through the patient portal which is basically email and we have to wait for him to check his messages. The doctor K is pretty good and I should hear from him Tuesday or Wednesday morning

Up all night with what they call somatic spazmatic episodes not fun I went down to the couch as not to disturb John he needs his sleep it's getting ridiculous.

I have been in bed all day today catching up on badly needed sleep and just a tad grumpier and darker then my darkness gets but I know this is the pain and the insomnia and this will pass.

Hang in there strong everyone beautiful fall days are on their way and I cannot wait to get to the park with the dogs they just love chasing the leaves and say fall down cannot wait

Just a note Ellipsis Jack which is our internet connection has swollen up, it is either having a baby Jack or it is getting ready to explode. We Believe the mistake we made was keeping it plugged in all the time instead of letting it hold a charge run down and then recharge it.

I will take it back to the Verizon store tomorrow and see if this will be an easy fix or if I have to contact someone else then someone else and someone else and it becomes an adventure we will see.

Love Peace gentle hugs to all

Trina, I also take Baclofen. I am prescribed 10mg. x 3. I always have extra as I'm sleeping too much already but I think 15mg/day is too little unless you have a pain med. (I do not take pain meds).

I am so sorry you are going through this and I wish you WELL.

HUGS & prayers.

So, I lost another front tooth. Broke right off while eating Fig Newtons. Sigh.

Retail therapy to the rescue! Lot's of plants on clearance this time of year. I got about $50 worth of plants for about $20! Some annuals, to fill in the blank spots and some perennials for years to come.

'Something' has been munching on my heirloom tomatoes! AARGH! Three ripening tomatoes will never see my dinner plates!

I've swapped the patio furniture around for the fall. Put seasonal slip covers on some and took the summer slips off some others. With the 'fill in' plants, I'm all set for the next season. Now, the Adirondak chairs are closest to the chiminea and the teak bistro set is under the tree with the bench. It was a bit too breezy for a fire last night, so I settled for 4 tea light candles set in the chiminea and lighted the patio lights and watched the moon rise with one of the cats on my lap. Perfect!

Prayers for those recovering from Harvey and those preparing for Irma.

Hope everyone has a peaceful day.

Kellys thank you, was on 30mg balofen, then up to 45mg
Bad side effects, 30mg does not work creates a squeezing pain on my brain.

15 mg take the edge of the level 8-10 pain. So at least between 5-7 I can manage house worse and care fore the dogs.

Heard from docs this AM. Would like me to try Tiz at 5mg, bedtine, stop baclofen, see how I tolerate. I agreed

So I will know in a week.

PITMOM, bummer about your tooth.

Safety to all. Quiet holiday weekend--bro and SIL came over for lunch yesterday. We no longer have to worry about Mom climbing the stairs. *sigh* Planting fall seeds in the garden-and a little portable greenhouse covering a squash.

Recommitting to exercise. Heading to the gym here in about 15 minutes. It is not only the weight, but also endurance and mobility. I lose energy fast when I don't increase my stamina. I worked out on Sunday-and We had a nice bike ride yesterday. I was in a lot of pain afterwards, though. Er--maybe not--a big storm is whipping up outside.

Waiting for my new computer to arrive smile I got a great deal on a re-furbished Dell. It will take a while to get everything downloaded I need for work. I am lusting over a bike on Craig's List--if it were just a little cheaper I would get it.

What a morning! So far, four monarch butterfly caterpillars have been spotted on the milkweeds in my garden! Soooo excited! They are about 3 inches long! Won't be long now before they make their chrysalis and then 2 weeks later, new butterflies!

Trying to avoid the weather forecasts...I have a lot of family in Florida...the constant reports are causing me great anxiety. Not to mention the fact that they're only about half way through the alphabet and we didn't get hit till "S"andy. So much of the season yet to come.

The caterpillar count is now up to 5!

Chilly mornings and evenings. Was up so early this morning, out one window was the moon, out the other was the sunrise! Amazing!

Going shopping for the trim for the windows today. My partner bought me an early birthday present...the compound miter saw I will need to cut all the trim pieces!

Still enjoying tomatoes from the garden. So many things blooming! I've added more 'flat topped' flowers for the butterflies this time of year. Aster, helenium, butterfly bush, to go along with the mums, sedums and Montauk daisies. The 'hardy' lily is in full bloom now, too!

The berries on the pyracanthus are deep orange already, the berries on the Virginia creeper are turning dusky purple and the berries on the New England false grape are turning blue! The goldfinches and black capped chickadees are regular visitors on the sunflowers, some of which have been picked clean already!

Next year, I hope to become a 'certified butterfly garden' now that I have confirmed caterpillars!

Hi everyone

I hope everyone is as well as they can be, and I want to especially wish well our members that are in the paths of hurricane Irma, survivors of hurricane Harvey, and our members that are living close to or in the paths of the wild fires in the northwest.

I will not lie, all of this at once is making me very anxious and despaired. My high pain levels are the trigger for these things and all of this makes it snowball to the point where almost every hour I have large panic attacks.

However I do my skills, I have my ice pack with me in the little cooler in the car. And I pray as much as I can. Others if you don't pray concentrate or meditate wherever you receive your peace from.

We are all here together to support each other. So if someone needs to release that tension, that fear, that dread please do so Within the parameters of the form.

Talking about it will make us all feel connected and safer this storm of events will pass just like all the others and tell people you care for that you love them and give them a hug even if you have to ask first.

I wish you all safety balance stabilisation

Peace and strength

I've heard from my family and friends in Florida...all safe.

I'm in a bit of a fog the past few days. Maybe ptsd from when I lived through Sandy. I'm "awake, alert and appropriate", just can't get any mental focus.

I've managed to get dressed, take the dogs out for some exercise and have cleaned the litter boxes. Functioning, but barely.

It's like I'm living life through gauze. And that's okay.

Irma is raging outside my door as I type -- or at least what is left of it is. First I was distracted since I'm from Florida and my family and family compound were in danger. Today I've just plain been distracted -- usually I would read but somehow have found cleaning house to be more calming. opened all the curtains, turned on all the lights, and just let the rain and the wind do their thing. (Not like I could stop them, right?)

The creek near my home is supposed to crest around 10 pm -- I will check it before I go to bed to see if I need to move my car. I hope not -- at this point the nearest safe place to put it is about 1/3 mile away -- not really a distance I want to walk in cold, driving, windy rain. I wish I'd thought about it earlier, maybe I could have gotten a closer safe space.

Almost done cleaning, just have to vacuum the stairs (my least favorite part), then try to find something warm for dinner. Of course, I *want* to drink Dr Pepper, but since I've cut back to maybe one a week I'm now sensitive to the caffeine and wouldn't sleep if I drank that!

Peace.

Irma's original track was going to put her just off the coast from us, which would have meant a much stronger storm plus greater backside surge. As soon as it hit the mainland she headed due north which put her just east of here. We still had power at midnight and it looked like we were going to be okay, but we lost all electricity just before 1AM. That night was fairly comfortable, but now two days later without A/C it's getting HOT.

We went out yesterday and found lots of debris but little damage. One dent on the hood of my car, which I have named "Irma". A few small stores open so we go out and pick up hot coffee. Long lines around any restaurant that may be open. Most of what is in the fridge will have to go, but that's maybe only $50 worth of food. We ate okay yesterday, today not sure.

I had to rescue my sister's husband's mother (my MIL-in-law) from her waterfront home last Friday. She is 90 and talks a lot, repeats herself often. My MIL has eaten with us the last few nights. No word yet when the power will be back on. Fortunately I have several power packs for phone and tablet so we have internet, but trying to find news on the radio is useless. It's all just talk shows and we've already heard all the "heroic" stories.

My radiation treatments yesterday and today were cancelled. Additional time to heal, but will extend my treatment schedule into mid October. All in all, things could be a lot worse. Thanks for reading.

Happy that Lynnwood and RobLee are are safe and well.

Our friends and Johns family are also.

I am waiting for Neuro to contact me regarding the Tiz. the 1mg did not work. I was just as sick on that as the 2 mg.

The doc on call over the weekend suggested I go to ER. I declined stayed in bed, 2 days took codine for my pain level. Today my pain is a 5 so far and I am using baclofen again at 15mg..

I have therapy tonight so I will take an imitrex nasal spray this afternoon when the pain increases.. save the 2nd allowed within one every 7 days for Sunday as I am a vendor at an Animal Rescue fund raiser. Trying to sell some art, giving 10% to the rescue!

Please keep your fingers crossed for a profitable day!

Peace

new endo gruff, but thorough. made some positive changes. new gp, close to me is awesome. being tested for auto-immune, sle and r.a-got some key indicators. he is young, hooray, the universe does the turtle a good one. emailed shrink so he can send a report, and got consent form for endo / gp as they in the same place. need to ask if i need a referral to see new endo from new gp. have one last physio next week, however booked in december for endo. he too has given me 2 blood requests, and 2 from new gp. might get em done all in one, that way saves doubling up, and you cop a bill for it. esp for hba1c for diabetes. am having a few beers, and got three for me neighbour 2 doors down, as he always makes me a plate of goodies every now and then.

keep strong trendy and friends. hi ya karen.
