Here we are again starting another thread.

It has been a beautiful day here , though hot. about a week of this weather, and then a dramatic cool down. I hope October will be nice.

I hope all of you are having a good day (night for Jamie, though his day will be starting soon actually). Know I care about all of you.

Hugs, Karen...

Happy New Year and Happy First Day of Autumn!

I took advantage of the fabulous weather here in NJ and planted the rest of my perennials yesterday.

I also took a chance and relocated the 2 'hardy lily' bulbs that were in bloom to the front of the border. Now, I can sit in the cozy Adirondak chair and see them without craning my neck. I have one bulb to my neighbor for her bed that is dedicated to all types of lilies. She is thrilled with the addition!

The japanese anemone that I planted is blooming its delicate pink daisy like flowers and it turns out that the snapdragons I bought on clearance are a similar color! So, the eye goes from the anemone to the snapdragons to the pink miniature rose quite nicely!

Most of the tiny mum plants that I put in last year came back strong this year, quite unexpectedly, and are beginning to bloom. Lovely copper colored blossoms to start and I think some burgundy and yellow will follow shortly.

I lit a few tea light candles in the chiminea last night, not wanting to do a 'whole fire'. The effect is pleasing enough, just after sundown with my hoodie on and a lap robe to keep my legs warm. A cat or two on my lap and I was just as toasty warm as if I'd had the 'whole fire'!

Hoping to pick up some of the materials for the window trim today. Humidity is down and there is a refreshing breeze coming through the open windows, so today might be the day to get this phase of the improvements started.

Hope everyone has a peaceful day.

So, I've been driving around with my snow tires in the back of my car for two days, because reasons. This morning I took them out before I drove to work and my car now smells like feet.

It's funny, my car normally smells pretty neutral, and my tires smell like tires, but for whatever reason, the two smells mixed together = feet.

The world is often strange and mysterious.

Happy Friday, everyone. And happy Hijri to you too, Pitmom.

I just spent the past hour writing a reply in the 'breakdown' thread, which ended up being much longer than expected. I guess this is therapeutic, revealing stuff that no one knows about.

Excited that I only have eleven more radiation treatments left now and when that's over looking forward to getting our family together for an extended period around Thanksgiving.

I know it's fall up north and we are enjoying not having to rake leaves for the first time in our lives.
A hurricane now and then seems to be a small price to pay.

Almost a heat wave today....temps in the upper 80's

Did some final monthly grocery shopping earlier. Store gives 'points' toward gasoline. Will be filling the van tomorrow and get a 40 cent per gallon discount
Every little bit helps.

Been in the upper 90's here for three days Joyce... Suppose to cool off some Wednesday.

Our store gives you usually five cents off. I had 35 cents discount the other day. If you buy enough groceries on a certain day you get 50 cents off a gallon. I don't usually match up with that one though. Must be the day that they do it, I rarely shop on. Oh well. It is nice to get a discount on gas.

Have a good day Joyce.

Have a good day everybody.

Upper 90's Karen....OH MY GOODNESS. I'm going to stop complaining. Do you have AC?

At my store you get 1 point for every dollar you spend during the month....and reduces 10ยข per gallon for every 100 points you receive...(.maximum $1.50)

So, guess I spent $400 in September...more than I should have. Of course that also includes over the counter meds and cleaning supplies

It is at 98 and holding strong here Joyce. I do have air conditioning. I stay inside when it is like this. Many fans going too. I don't remember it ever being this hot in September before. I don't know for sure but this is probably our Indian Summer. I hope it is nice in October though. We have had snow in October before.

Yes, I like the gas coupons. I usually save them for a couple months before I cash them in. I think you have to spend about 50.00 to get them though. But I noticed something on the receipt the other day about gas points. Maybe it is like what you have.

I hope you are having a nice day. I hope your son is feeling better too.

Take care friend...

Yes, my son has settled down and our relationship has improved quite a bit.
At some time I will consider the possibility of suggesting that he see his counselor for additional support.

Oh goodness... the poor dove is looking for a drink in the birdbath and I KNOW it's muddy. Must get out there with some fresh water...

See you later.... (and thanks SO much for 'being here')

OMG... It got up to 100 today. I can't believe it. If it was in the middle of the summer, I could. But the end of September? I really can't wait for a cool down. Wednesday...

I haven't had a lot of birds lately. Very few doves, a few chickadees. No grosbeaks lately. Or gold finches. We have had some blue jays. Not many. I think as the season changes I will probably get new birds coming in from up north.

I Hope you have a good evening. It is nice to have you back. Take it easy...

Karen, I stopped feeding the birds this summer. The feeders were too far away for me to fill comfortably. Am considering a new (closer) location before winter arrives.

Warm and humid again today...but I'm not complaining...Better than snow

Not much to 'report'. I REALLY need to rake some leaves.
Has anyone installed a leaf barrier in their roof gutter? I've got a few 'trees' growing in one of mine that need to be chopped down.

Look forward to hearing how everyone else is doing

hi.......found out today why so lethargic. testosterone numbers real low, the last product was being sweated out. i hope i pick up soon with the new product. been sorting out bro's housing. he had an uncomfortable inspection. he was told mum not coming back and going into aged. was hard but he knows he can't live in filth in a 3 be3d place. apparently his guardian is not much chop. he is going to look at ccu for a bit. to ready himself for his own place oneday. so it beuracratic bs stuff yesterday. had to bite me tongue a tad. housing said he can stay short term only. we have applied for resources for a clean up and we can hand back the house without my bro getting evicted. mum is not happy about aged i am told. but this decision was made by her care team, and we support the decision. i have been asked to contact my bro's guardian.......errr.
keep well my friends.

I noticed the missing key value, but I just click on it and it posts. I will find out what the deal is.

I wasn't up early this morning though, slept until 7:00 which is rare for me. I remember a bunch of spam the day before though.

Joyce, I hope you get the bird feeders moved closer. I couldn't make it without being able to watch the birds, though I don't have a lot coming in right now.

Jamie, I hope you are getting good sleep. And feeling well.

Take care all, all have a good day!!!

Nephew has been drinking again, is considering coming back to NJ if I will allow it.

Daughter now diagnosed with Cubital Tunnel Syndrome but has to wait for Orthopedic Clinic appointment because she still doesn't have an answer on her health insurance.

And last but not least

My son is entering into a custody battle for his daughter, whos mothers boyfriend is a registered sex offender and lives with 2 other registered sex offenders, both of which assaulted children!

PRAYERS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello all. I decided to go through the posts here and say a prayer for each of you.

I have one good thing to report......my house is clean. I got some Birthday money and paid someone to finally get the last of my stuff unpacked and put away. Being that I've been in major depression for several months, I've had to live with clutter and pet accidents. I also did 6 loads of laundry and cleaned the carpet (around the furniture). It's amazing how much less cluttered my brain is when my apartment is uncluttered. Now, everything has a place and everything in its place. My space is challenging but at least the "stuff" is out of my sight. I think the fur kids like appreciate it too.

I have a Mother with a personality disorder. When something comes up, it is impossible to share "my feelings" because her reality is distorted and within seconds, I am the bad guy. I need to learn to "shut down" my feelings around unsafe people because I end up getting attacked and feeling more depressed and also worried about them instead of myself. Goodness knows, they aren't worried about how I feel when they hang up the phone. Life can be really challenging and depression just plain sucks!

Another warm day. Cool off starts tomorrow.

Got my van filled with gas. Just shy of $8 dollar discount with points from grocery store. Hoped it would be more...but every dime helps these days.

Have a good one, gang

I think $8.00 is a good savings. I really am not sure how much I save with coupons, I save them for a couple of months before I use them. And it all depends how much money I spend at the store I guess.

Our cool off is starting today. about 68 I guess for the high. It usually goes a little higher, but anything is better than what we have been having.

I hope you all have a good day. Good night for Jamie. Prayers are always welcome Cass. Pitmom, I hope things get better. Hi Kelly! Joyce, you have a good one too.

Hugs, Karen...
