Hey Jamie, Hey Weary,

I hope things get better for both of you soon. Both of you... Take care of you first. Then work on the other. If you go down, you wont be able to help anybody let alone yourselves.

Take it one day at a time.

While your mother is declining Weary, You will have the strength. Try not to think, just do. You will be able to do the best you can at the time. I have been through it and it seems there is always strength coming from somewhere. Hang in there Weary...

Hugs to both of you.

Karen...

Up in the middle of the night....too much on my mind. I'm looking haggard these days from lack of restful sleep. Shoulders feel like toothaches. Having an all over flare but nothing I can't bear

Hi Karen
Hi HT
Aching and tired-going to take some advil, having a drink
Mom seems to be on way out but hospice says if she is it's very early stages
IDK
Will she make it past my daughters wedding? Will she die on her wedding day? worries worries worries
Tried to shop for a mother of the bride dress today. Left the stores with nothing but feet that were killing me and extreme fatigue
Trying on dresses was torture. I don't particularly like shopping for clothes under the best circumstances...
Before shopping-
Had to get papers notarized to be POA on moms bank account as they disabled my online banking abilities due to a security flag of making transactions that were abnormal for her account. I have been taking care of her bills for the past 3 months
Thought I could go to my bank manager to have it done but she said she couldn't because she has a business relationship with me and if a family member wanted to dispute it would be a problem
Not sure I understand that- I already am POA I just have to send the document to the other bank with signatures attesting to they haven't expired etc.
I couldn't help it- I got all teared up
She said her mother is in the same health condition but across the ocean in another country- she understands
Suggested a notary at the library- I called-no appointments available until a day and time I'll be at work
Found a notary at a UPS store. Both of us made mistakes requiring cross outs that we initialed....hopefully I didn't eff it all up enough to have to have new forms fedexed to me again
Just feeling so overwhelmed
If I was able to turn it all off I would curl up in a ball in bed but I'm not able to turn it all off

Just don't be hard on yourself Weary,

What you are doing is stressful. Just take a few deep breaths and try to relax when you can. You have a lot on your plate, but you will handle it.

I had to do what you are doing. I got guardianship and conservatorship too. It made processes more easy. Nobody could contest anything really. Though they would of liked for me to make mistakes, but I was very cautious with everything. She was in a nursing home though so I knew she was safe and that she was taken care of.

I had to go one day at a time or it would of been real overwhelming. I got through it. You will too.

So make sure you take care of you. It is real important.

Have a good night Weary,

Hello and Good morning Jamie!

Hugs, Karen...

Here it is 3 am
First- pretty much was told the end is near for mom and do I have a plan?
So first step posed the question to the care provider agency-do they stick around for this? She'll ask the girls.
Then they said get a daily update so I'll know when to go since I'm unable to leave everything here unattended for an extended period.
She is having hallucinations and was so scared today but with medication was able to calm her. I was hoping it was one of the meds causing it but they say no it is a stage in the process
Now I woke in the night unsettled and come upon my son distraught- his girl broke up with him and he is taking it very bad.
How much can one woman take.
Why is there so much sadness in the world?

Sending healing thoughts to both of you.

I know it is hard when things effect us so. It feels like everything is crumbling around us. You will get through this Weary. Hang in there and take it one thing at a time. Maybe you can set your son's issue on the back burner while you deal with your mom's situation. Remember to take care of you...

I don't know, we get bumps in the road. It happens and then things get better again.

Hang in there both of you...

Hugs, Karen...

visit nursing home that is apart of the aged hosp with sis today. mum still in transitional however after her surgery she is starting to walk with her walker. we are happy with it, mum happy as she knows the hosp. i got a bit emotional and 2 staff members came up to me. i let sis do the walk around. mum is approved and awaiting a spot.
bro approved to come up where we are, apparently his team looked into two places. not confirmed but i hear about 5 weeks. today has been a great day. the exhaustion of everything came out a bit, but this is okay. keep strong my friends.
