Can someone tell me straight up what they think is wrong with me because I have no clue and it's horrible? I just want someone to talk to and someone to understand how I feel.
A LOT of teenagers go through depression. It is quite normal. I believe the figure is 3 in 5.
Sometimes you have to ride it out.
But if you are feeling suicidal, then urgently seek help from the doctor.
It has to do with swirling hormones in some cases. Peer pressure can contribute. Bad family life doesn't help.
But also other aspects like lack of exercise, lack of Vitamin D and other nutritional deficiencies, and a bad diet will worsen the symptoms.......and let's face it, the diet of an average teenager is pretty bad.
Otherwise find a counselor to chat with. Schools and colleges will have trained counselors, as does the local mental health community.
Personally I feel a LOT happier since deleting Facebook and other social media outlets. I really reckon they contribute to people feeling bad about
themselves. I am 50 and they make me feel terrible. So I would hate to be a teenager in 2018.
Are you able to help yourself by getting out of your head. Try to take your mind off things by joining some sort of group? Volunteering for the less fortunate, joining a cricket team, joining a rowing team, and so on......so much healthier than sitting in your bedroom moping.
I found Bach Flower Rescue Remedy to be very helpful for anxiety. Along with regular massages, and Emotional Freedom Technique, meditation and yoga. Zumba and swimming are good too. Change of diet has been a massive help, Vitamin D3 supplements helped.
My depression started when I was 10. So I know what you are going through.
Good luck and try to find things that will help you.
