All of them sucked. First there was a woman who kept talking like I have some fear of commitment (your typical pop science BS). Another one wanted to send me to church. Another one was super creepy. Etc.
It seems to me like they are the most f-ed up. They need some illusion to keep them going and they try to force their 'religion' on others.
Society is a mad house.

Was your shrinks psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist?

I see a psychologist and a psychiatrist.

imho religion and mental health problems don't mix, so I steer clear of that at the time being.

Try to get a psychiatrist or a psychologist. Not to say none of them have been weird, but you have to keep looking until you find the right fit. Somebody you click with.

In the meantime, welcome to the forum. I hope you stick around and keep us posted on how things are going.

Hugs, Karen...

I am luck, may therapist is great, guiding and supportive not at all pushy.

My Psychiatrist is an other wonderful DOC. she is also an MD. Listens, works with my physical problems and meds well.

I know this awfully difficult.

We all have to be our own advocates. I went through 10 neurologists before I found the one I am seeing now. I started in 2006 and found this one last year. Chronic pain every day., Just last month, my pain is staying at a 3-4 instead of a 7-10.

Self-compassion was the key for me. It helped me realize that I am worth the hard work to find the doctors and care give that work for me. I would tell a friend the same thing. so why would I not be worth same?

I wish your courage, strength and peace
