I have a history of seizures.
I have been on Wellbutrin for two months. Also tramadol for pain.
I was to have doubled my W . dose after the first week but I JUST BY CHANCE stumbled upon an article referring to greatly increased chances of those two drugs, taken together, causing seizures. In a conversation with the guy who drives me to my medical appointments, he said his mother in law got seizures this same way.

It is so scary that my doctor was clueless about this and it was a fluke that I found out and stayed on my lower doseage.

We really have to be savvy about our conditions and meds. Doctors make plenty of mistakes. Oy!!

WoW. You have a history of seizures and he "practiced medicine on you." I'm sorry. I'm glad you are okay now.

yes indeed.
it is not even a doctor, but a nurse which may explain her lack of knowledge. We are so flooded with clients and illnesses around here that nobody can get in to see a 'real' doctor and has to be seen only by a nurse.
Sick in April 2018. Took forever for my doc to believe me when I said I had Lyme. While she putzed around, it really took over. By the time I found a LLMD it was late stage and in my brain.
On antibiotics since early December, lots of herbals, and radical diet changes.
I hurt 24\7 and am so drained of hope and energy

Doctor Google is very scary and some people should flat out not do it but I decided a couple of years ago that "I am the CEO of my Health." I am on Disability. This IS my job. I do a lot of research. It has helped me help my Doctors (and yes PA and NP's) to consider things that need consideration.

My doctor has hundreds of patients. I have only one. Myself.
I am one of those people that actually reads the inserts that come with my medications. My pharmacist is usually the one that 'catches' any issues between what my doctor prescribes. Medical school and nursing school spend a fraction of the time on pharmacology that is the sole focus for pharmacists education. Telling them all everything I take is crucial...including over the counter medications and herbal/vitamin/mineral supplements.
multiple surgeries for rotator cuff both shoulders with residual chronic impingement syndrome, ulnar nerve transposition, carpal tunnel release, multiple wrist surgeries, multiple herniated discs, tarlov cysts, whiplash, bursitis of hips, grade 5 right shoulder separation and torn labrum, ovarian cysts, fibroid tumors of the uterus
