If you have a desire to help those with mental illness, you really can make a difference. You can help people with serious mental health issues, such as clinical depression.
However, you can make even more of an impression on a young child than you can with a teen or an adult, in general.
Helping children who have mental health problems and/or are at-risk kids has it's limits. Their's only so much you can do with children. But you can make more of a lasting impression on a child.
Doing so can help them overcome mental illness. And it can steer them in the right direction so they can lead happy, productive lives during their childhood, adolescent years, and adulthood.
