It's an unfortunate fact that when a person is clinically depressed, just about
everything they see in life and in the world are the bad parts of it. This is especially true about
people who are severely depressed and are very unhappy because of it.
As a matter of fact, some who are severely depressed, if you ask them to give an example of something positive, can't even think of anything.
Those of us who aren't depressed can see how irrational it is for someone to not see anything positive at all. I'm not saying that life and the world are all wonderful and rosy. But reasonably happy people like myself can see how those who only see the bad are overlooking the good in life and the world we live in.
Fortunately, therapy and medication can help them see the good once again.
