Still here, still healthy.
So many changes here at my humble abode, inside and out! Not sure if I mentioned it before but we've changed the fence line a bit so the gate swings a different direction, hoping this solves the issue of the dirt piling up from the dogs when they run after the ball requiring me to use a shovel every few days to clear it. They don't seem to mind the new set up, so that's good. I also used 4 tall shepard's hooks and a roll up outdoor grade window shade to create a shade structure for the dogs to cool off under. I doubt it will hold up in a bad wind storm, but I had the 'materials' on hand so I figured it was worth a shot. They're loving it!
Got rid of a lot of my outdoor holiday decorations...I just can't put it all up and take it all down anymore. A neighbor took most of it for the fall holidays. I did keep my Christmas stuff though! Now that the shed has been cleaned out and reorganized, there's room and no more bins outside to collect rain and be a breeding ground for mosquitos! Lisa bought me 2 solar light globes that I put on shorter shepard's hooks and a solar powered bug zapper/lantern. I am determined to enjoy my yard space this year!
Now I have a space for all of the plants I bought last year but never got into the ground! The dogs will probably be annoyed at losing that little area again, but my garden is my 'therapy'. As we all know, therapy doesn't always go as planned. Sitting in my living room, I was smelling an unpleasant odor and feared a plumbing leak under my trailer. Turns out...it's not a leak...it's the flowers on the pyracanthus bush planted just under the living room windows!! Sigh. Well, I guess it's a good thing it only blooms for about 2 weeks! This year is is completely covered in tiny white flower clusters!
I put the music channels on yesterday and got the inside of my house cleaned...switched my clothing over to 'summer'...stored the winter clothes in a huge wicker trunk Lisa gave me that is now in my bedroom...more to do but great progress yesterday. Had my kids and grandson over for 'family dinner night'...Margie and I combined efforts on a beef stew. Dom's shoulder surgery has not been scheduled yet. Austin has learned more songs on his guitar.
Don't want to write a book, so I'll end now and hope everyone is having a peaceful day.
