The thing about turning 60 is...both of my parents died in their 60's. Dad was 61, Mom 67. One of my brother's also died in his 60's. Another has already had 2 strokes and a toe amputated, also in his 60's. That brother never smoked or drank! All of us remaining have the same sense of foreboding. One day at a time, though!
I found another 'waffle' shower curtain, so all should match pretty good in the living room this winter...yes, I use shower curtains for drapes (5 windows) and one over the door to block the drafts...so finding a 5th curtain is huge for me! They're an ecru shade. I've already swapped out the ones on the windows for a mellower light during the day and less harsh with the lights on at night. I also put the new table cloth on my dinette...this one has gray, green and gold roses. Topped it with 2 green glass bottles, the 'fat' ones, and put 'silver dollar plant' stems in the big one. The shed seed pods shimmer so nicely, especially in candle light. Along side, I've placed a heavy planter with a faux greenery sphere topping it. I reworked the items on my demi-lune table with a cream vase to replace the blue one and a green bud vase with faux rose buds. Little changes can have a big effect.
I'll be rearranging my office/dressing room next. I think I've finally come up with a layout that will work better for me and get me closer to the window when I'm on the computer. Where it is now, I feel like I'm suffocating in a dungeon. Besides, it will be best to be away from the window when changing! No big deal in summer, when I don't need to put the lights on...but in winter...no shadows on this shade! lol
Used my t.e.n.s. unit for about an hour on my back last evening...pain practically disappeared! So glad I reached for it, rather than the pill bottle. Don't get me wrong, I use them if I need to...just so glad the unit did the trick for me last night! So nice to sleep with the windows open, no a.c., just the fan...listening to the crickets and tree frogs for a change!
