Good Morning All.

Here is Paul_T's post from the last thread.

Pitmom, I am sorry about your shoulder too. I will write more later.

Tim Tam, my problem is the noise situation, or was up until I moved recently. So far no upstairs neighbors jumping or banging around in the middle of the night (though far worse was when they did something quietly and repeatedly, causing regular creaking).

Happy belated birthday Karen and Pitmom and whomever I missed... tried to post in a more timely fashion, but the site was down for me yesterday (sounds like an excuse, but isn't... this time! smile

Happy early Thanksgiving to all, even if you can only Zoomskype this year...

Thanks Paul_T and thanks Jamie.

Raining here tonight. I hope that the temps stay above freezing or it could be an icy mess. I hope you all have a good Thanksgiving for those who celebrate it tomorrow.

Take care all...

Hugs, Karen...

I posted earlier, however traffic is so bad in our area here on line, Verizon constantly gets overloaded

In a nutshell. I warmly wished all a quiet, peaceful and love filled day.

I am. Waiting for night meds to kick in,

I enjoy jigsaw puzzles almost as much, as reading...
Browsing on line came across this interesting bit of trivia!.

For the record. I like 1,000 pc, anything less is not challenging enough...

Peace All

Roller coaster of emotions yesterday. I knew Lisa was staying up with her Mom...my daughter wanted to come by but, one person in her house is awaiting covid test results, so no visit...got a FB message from my son, not even a phone call! Ugh! Got a bit weepy remembering the family gatherings when my Mom was still alive...many hands made for light work. Kinda in a funk today.

I am sorry Pitmom,

I never hear from my granddaughter (by marriage) and it made me a little sad. But I do realize she has her own things these days. She will be 16 in February. Growing up. I miss the days when she was little. She used to call me at Christmas but doesn't anymore.

Her other grandmother is wealthy and gets her things that I can not afford. So I am pretty much in her dust. Hopefully my granddaughter wont forget the time we spent together when she was little. I sure wont. I am thankful for those years.

Things have a way of changing on us. I guess that will always happen.

I hope your funk leaves you so you can enjoy the rest of the day.

Hugs, Karen...

Trina, good find with the jigsaw puzzle. Sounds like a great gift idea for someone I know! It will keep them occupied. smile

Sprint indeed Paul.

I didn't watch the local news this year. I am "choosing" to believe Walmart did the moral thing this year.
Not allowing campers outside the store
And since this is MY FANTASY...
No one was trampled, knifed, shot, crushed,
Punched, or in any way violated for a darn toy made to.break!

(Stepping off soap box)

Paul, spinning does remind me of 2 movies

It's a Mad, Mad. Mad. Mad, Mad World

And.. The Great Race

Both awesome comedies with golden, one lines.

Slap stick..

Good stuff to chase the blues and awaken you Giggle Monster!!

Hello all

Today was a Banner Day..🥳

I began turning the dining room into an informal library. Using hutch as book shelves, table at smallest up against the wall under window

It feels sooo good!!!
Tonight, as I smoke a soothing herb, comfortably in the house, I smiled.
Now I was me. Making changes because I truly want them. Not for spite, distraction or to cut my nose off. Doing it because me. Trina...
wants it that way..and why not?
It feels like being able to again, when you can not

Busy few days here. Son's girlfriend wanted the Christmas decorations up ASAP so we put up one tree on Friday with all of the decorations that would not break (or be missed if they did) if the kittens climbed up it, and another much smaller tree with the delicate ornaments. So today, I caught the littlest kitten trying to jump on the table with the latter tree, get caught on the table cloth, slowly dragging everything towards the edge of the table. I rescued him in time but it was rather ironic.

I was having weird symptoms climbing up and down the stairs bringing up the boxes of ornaments so I went to the doctor and there is something wrong with my EKG. Now I have to go get a nuclear stress echocardiogram. Sid, my pit bull, had liver tests done a month ago which were abnormal and had them repeated again Monday. I found out today that they have not improved, but in fact have doubled. I had to call various different dog specialists to get him in sooner than the end of the month. The job which I had 4 interviews for has not decided to "ghost me" or "blow me off" as we used to say. I have a frivolous complaint against me that my old employers said they would help me with, but I found out today that they actually have no idea what to do so I have to start all over.

Weather is typical winter for the mountains. A little snow yesterday, nice today and not windy for a change. I am limited in my crocheting because little paws love to play with the yarn.

Trina, I am glad you are redecorating your house the way you want it.

HT, I hope you are getting some rest.

Everyone else have a good evening.

Hi Kathy,

I guess when it rains it pours. Always something to keep us on our toes. I hope Sid will be okay and that your tests come out okay. And the kittens don't destroy your house and tree. They must be cute though.

I hope also that you have good mountain weather. A little snow is nice, but drifting stinks.

Take care Kathy.

Have a wonderful day.

And a wonderful day to all.

Trina, I am happy too that you are changing things to the way you like.

Hugs, Karen...

Hi All

Sorry about the nonsense regarding the job

Maybe with the cardio concerns, its best to wait. Something fixable then you can start looking

You found one close.
You CAN do it again!

Peace

Thanks, Trina... that reminds me of how useful this kind of in-depth knowledge about plants could be. I learned a few things from the indigenous people in my area, such as about making jam out of the black moss in the trees, as well as which berries can be eaten (and which could kill you). (Not that I trust myself enough to eat most of them yet! But at least the blueberries and blackberries are easily recognized.) I haven't read that book, but will have to check it out now.

I'm not good but I'm not unsafe. Arguments with my partner. Still haven't heard from my son. Trying to claw my way out of the abyss.

Pitmom, sorry to hear that things aren't good for you at the moment. I'm also sorry that you're arguing with your partner. We're living in such trying times which is affecting everyone differently. I hope things get better.

Nothing much going on with me. Just trying to stock up on groceries which has gotten so expensive. I'm nervous about a shortage of toilet paper, so I brought a bidet which is awesome.

I can't wait to say goodbye to 2020. What a year! Praying 2021 is better.

Have a good night/day everyone.

I had a nuclear cardiac stress test this morning that was normal - what a relief! I had been catastrophising all weekend which took a toll on my mood. I just wanted to let you all know that. thanks for your continuing support.

Yay Kathy,

I am glad your tests were normal. It is easy to worry about things and vision worst case scenerios. I do that all the time. I am working on that.

Have a good day and a happy holiday season.

Hugs, Karen...
