Been having more productive days at least. I had used Flex Seal on the siding seam where I'd seen the water coming in when it rains, so that seam held...but the one above it was leaking with the last rain. So, I went this morning and bought another cheap paint brush (there's no cleaning them) and got the ladder out for round two! After I was done, I headed to my thrift shops for a few more decor pieces I absolutely do not need! ha ha! Come home to discover that the stuff dripped/slid away leaving gaps in a couple of spots, so back out I do with my tube of caulk to fill those gaps. With a nasty Nor'Easter on the way, I want to be as sealed up as I can get.

I've plenty of food and beverages here...grabbed 2 more packs of ciggies and another set of vape cartridges, charged up all of my vapes in case we lose power, will do the phone again tomorrow. Praying, of course, that we don't lose power but every station is warning about it. Will bring in the extra bag of dogfood from the truck in the morning, and my brush/scraper for my truck. Have my snow pants, shoveling gloves, boots all ready.

Hoping everyone is having a peaceful day.

Poof..gone

Chotti. Thank you 💛

Paul I have always found it extremely difficult to find support groups, where members share, let alone talk about true issues.

Reasons vary by number of individuals.

Glad everyone is battling forward. You are not alone. It is not easy.

So I am sharing this to let you know life can be laughed at!

Thanks Karen and Jamie. I appreciate the support.

Pitmom, I went thrifting today also and got more stuff I don’t need. But it tends to boost my mood. Thrill of the hunt I guess. I stayed out late because I didn’t want to go home and my son called twice to check on me. That makes me feel good because my husband never did that, ever.

Big wind storm here tonight. They are fairly common in the winter. Most of my outside stuff is battened down but you’d be surprised at what blows away. I lost the lid to my Weber grill a couple of months ago and still haven’t found it.

Stay warm everyone.

You guys all take care and stay safe with the storms.

Cold here. Our storm is over but it is chilly here. Yesterday it stayed around 20 degrees if that all day. Winter is upon us. Will be official on the 21st.

All set for Christmas I think. Let her roll.

Take care all...

Hugs Karen...

My wind chimes are letting me know that the storm is on it's way. My decorations have already survived some pretty strong winds, so I hope they stay put through this one, too. I did, however, have to take down one that hangs on the house itself...a metal piece with scrollwork and birds/nest with the word 'Home'. It was rattling pretty bad early this morning...the direction of the wind is my guess.

Nowhere I have to go today...I'm as set as I can be for now. Might continue painting the primer on the ceiling 'beams' to keep busy. Have to be careful how much 'work' I do above shoulder level. Ever since Sandy, I get so anxious about wind/storms. The prep work helps some, but once there's nothing left to do, my mind can race.

Pitmom,

I can sure understand the fears from having gone through hurricanes before. We have blizzards which are bad but nothing compared to what you have been through. Wind in itself makes me nervous. I can handle a breeze but that is it. I think it is because I can't hear well when it is windy. That is the only thing I can think of.

I can only picture your yard with all the beautiful plants in the summer months. Decorations for the fall and winter. It must be beautiful. Just never stop telling about it. I have my own little visions of what it looks like. I really enjoy reading the different things you have in your yard. Thanks for sharing.

Anyway everybody have a good rest of the day.

Hugs, Karen...

Everyone facing horrible winter storms and especially the northeast has a weather warning due to the Nor‘ Easter. Stay off the roads it’s impossible to drive on ice . Stay safe and warm. Hope there are no power outages for anyone.

Boy every once in awhile we get some crazy ice storms. Everything is shut down and power outages everywhere. It’s makes it tough to contend with staying warm with no power.

It’s a good day to stay in and bake some Xmas cookies.

HT how’s your weather today?

My wearher was nice today. It was cold but mostly sunny. I am in Michigan. We got our first good snow on Saturday. I think it is going to stick, but got a couple of days of warmer weather. Like 35 or so. So some might melt. We'll see. I heard we were going to have a milder winter this year, so far it has been.

Snow on North East. Nor Easters are nothing to shrug at. Can be nasty. I think that is what sunk the Edmond Fitzgerald. Nor Easter.

Christmas cookies sound good. I made brownies today because I was hungry for something sweet.

Take care Chotti,

Take care everybody...

The snow man is always a great way to celebrate the snow. We always had great times playing in the snow making snow caves and snowman.

It’s a nice day lots of sunshine. Animals are happy it’s not raining.

Watching the the great Christmas light fight. Talk about OCD. yikes. Wouldn’t want their electric bill...

Hung a few Xmas decos added a couple wreaths and Xmas tree up.
Tomorrow I’ll make fudge. It only has 2 ingredients semi chocolate chips and a can of sweetened condensed milk. Put in bowl to combine ingredients and melt chocolate chips in micro wave 35 sec at a intervals. Stir heated mixture together, let cool.
And ‘walla’, fudge that melts in your mouth.

Chotti, the fudge sounds nice. Never used to be a big fan of chocolate until recently.

BnotAfriad, I made some chocolate chip cookies following a simple recipe. It came out nice, but know it's not good the waistline.

Hi GB, HT, Pitmom, and everyone else.

I am officially unemployed, so it's back to job hunting. Just hoping this New Year I get a full time, permanent job which I liked. Oh how I wish I could win the lotto and travel the world, but then again, I know greedy relatives would hound me for money. Lol.

Forever, you don't have to tell them you won. Sneak away without them knowing. I hope you win it, do you play? Good luck finding another job. I am sorry you are unemployed. Can you get unemployment?

Chotti, your fudge sounds so good. I am a huge chocolate fan. I made a batch many years ago with marshmallow in it. It actually turned out really good. I have a simple recipe for peanut butter fudge too that never fails.

Hello to all. I hope you all have a good day and Jamie a good night.

Many hugs,

Karen...

Chotti. Yeah cookies goes with the celebration

Not only the movie MICHAEL with John Travolta, I have believed most of my live devine presence smell like cookies.
Who doesn't like cookies?

I'm sure someone doesn't, have not met them yet.

Forever, being unemployed During the holidays it is always hard.
prior to 2011 I found that it was hard to find anyone to take a job during holidays.

This would be a good time if you have any projects To complete some it would be a great feeling of accomplishment.
Perhaps putting you in a better state of mind for when you start applying for jobs in January

I am sure forever that you will find a job you seem to be very marketable and it is just a matter of time when somebody wants you.
And with the virus there is a very good chance that you can work from home.
How perfect would this be!

I wish everyone a Happy Holly week!

Something is bothering me and I don't
Like it.

My ex has the virus as of last Fri., only head cold symptoms. 99-100 fever 3 days. He is a chef, never lost taste.
Almost back normal today.

I had it in April
I had bad chest 4weeks. Fatigue
Cough off and on 2mos

I am mad he always gets off easy, like my family, I suffer 😞 yea I know
Religious dogma says..

But really it just isn't fair.
He i can't divorce I loose almost a 3rd of retirement money
He has inheritance close to 500k and is mom is 88 stroke right side

In NJ I can not touch that money in Divorce
It just sucks
Will talk to another lawyer in Feb
But not holding any hope

Thanks for listening

A good attorney will let you know just where you stand and what will help you the most. Don't forget with covid, you can think it ran it's course and it can knock you down with no warning, he may not be out of the woods yet.

I hope you have a good night, keep faith. You really do have options.

Even though it may be difficult at this time, I think we can all find something to be thankful for or happy about for a few days. Five days until Christmas. Though it isn't much, just the two of us eating a meal, I still look forward to it. Make it a little magical. As it were when I was a child.

Thanks Chotti for the post. I think we all deserve a few positive days in our lives.

Hugs to all...

We drove to find a place to see the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter tonight, which is a little tricky because of the mountains. But we saw it. Pretty cool to see something that won't happen again for another 800 years. And I am happy that today is the solstice. That means that now each day will get a little longer until it is summer.

Hi Kathy,

Awesome you got to see that. I honestly forgot. I bet that was cool.

I too am glad about winter solstice. Longer days to be anticipated.

Have a good one.

Hi everyone! It’s been a long time. Right now my emotions are up and down. Physically I’m not doing well which prevents me from doing things that make me happy. Oh well. This to shall pass.
