With the added stresses of living in today's world, I think my fibromyalgia is acting up and I saw where Cymbalta is sometimes used for pain control of fibro.

But Cymbalta is also an anti-depressant -- no medication has ever done anything for my depression so I'm wondering if this might help both problems at once.

Anyway, I'd love to know about any experiences you might want to share about taking Cymbalta? The good, the bad, the mediocre?

Thanks

I have never tried Cymbalta but I took some close to it, effexor and pristiq and both worked for me. I think some members have taken it and hopefully they will chime in.

Best wishes with trying Cymbalta.

Hugs, Karen...

Cymbalta is a good anti dep in general, and helps with nuro pain etc......IN GENERAL, I ADD.
I found it is either hit or miss. If a hit, it will help with both, in general. HT
And in general, just a good anti dep.
A friend with benefits, possibly, or an adjunct therapy. HT

I am on Cymbalta for Bipolar along with some other meds. It works fairly well for that. I switched to Cymbalta to use it for my Fibromyalgia pain and the Bipolar. It does not work on me for the pain at all.

I have fibromyalgia too. Not much fun.

Have a good day.

Thanks for posting.
