Hi,

I put some posts up about a year ago. I had some posts about dealing with managers of a store that i worked at where they were bullying me as if 6th grade never ended. These women were in their 30s and 40s. I reported them within a month from the start. It got much worse from that point. I abruptly quit with no notice. And started a temporary seasonal job in another mall. The assistant manager stalked me and was trashing me to all the businesses within the mall that i was newly working at. She trashed me and told all the people in the mall that i got her fired.
Well the woman lied about me getting her fired. I think she was trying to make me look like an idiot and a liar if i reported it to the company after she did that. I walked into the chain that i used to work at that was in a different mall. Guess who i see, the same woman who was stalking me and trying to make a fool of me. I didn’t act like i knew her. But I’m sure she recognized me, because she was telling her new co-workers about me. This woman created a fb post to trash me that spread on the internet that has circulated through tons of retail workers. Whenever i go into malls in the area, the woman used my picture and full name. That is the only way all these random people would know what i look like. I can not find the particular post to prove it, so I’m really frustrated with this situation. The privacy settings on fb makes cyber bullying easier for creeps like this. I know i should just let it go but i have applied to jobs in one of the malls and never hear back. I’m looking for a part time job until i find a full time job with benefits. I can’t believe I’m being cyber bullied as an adult. I never reported to the company that the assistant manager stalked me because i can not prove it.

Thanks for reading my rant,

Can you get a job other than in the mall? Can you get them for ruining your job experience? Take her to court? I would look for work else where.

Sorry for what you are going through.

Hugs, Karen...

Karen,

I’ve been looking for a ft job but a pt job in the meantime may help. It’s tons of retail stores all around the area that i live. I hear people giggling when I’m in line at a lowes. The people recognize me because I’m pretty sure they put my picture in the post. I have no proof. I have not seen the post personally. If i make an accusation without proof, it would give her a warning to delete the post completely. Even when i was in a store within the same store chain that i worked for under the two unethical managers, this store was three states away. I saw an employee see me and burst into laughter and proceed to tell her co-worker about the fb post. How could something go so far out of state and all these people know what i look like? I have no idea how to prove it and my picture was used without my consent to boot.

Thanks for listening,

Do you have any family member or friends that could look for you? Maybe go to a library and create a new profile and search? Take some screen shots to use in court? A cease and desist order may be necessary, if you can prove your case...you might be entitled to punitive damages if you can prove her actions kept you from getting a job...defamation of character.

Pitmom,

I have tried these options that you have suggested. Fb has added more privacy settings which seems to make cyberbullying easier. I tried and asked others to try to find it but she may have it completely unseen or entirely under a different profile name. I have no evidence just the whispers and seeing one guy read the post aloud to his co-workers. And these people had no compassion and would rather die than help someone they don’t know but they are fine with mocking me.

Thanks for listening,

With everything going on in the world, has to be hard dealing with it all.

If you haven't already, I kindly suggest talking to your doc about your anxiety level.

Well you could have evidence.

If you unblock the people that posted that posted the slanderous stuff. I am taking an educated guess you know who they were.

Takes 48 hrs on FB

Then search for the post with your name

Screen shoot
File civil suit for slander
Must advocate for yourself. Bullies back down when confronted with confidence.

Yes, easier said than done. Think of this, every time this happens they win.

I invision, you saying something to the immature giggling little girls, clear diction,
"I have forgotten what it is like, to live through other people's lives. So sad really, (look at their feet the up to faces), Do hope you girls learn soon. Good bye, stay well!😷"

Hoping you can put this all behind you

Hi Trina,

I never blocked this woman who cyber bullied me.

She probably found my profile and blocked me before she ever created the post. Her profile may be under a name that is not her’s but i can not find the post of fb at all. The privacy settings are making it easier for cyber bullying in the first place.

Thanks,

maybe a short break from fb?
Seems fb is an unsafe platform or poorly managed? Too many horror stories i hear from it.
The family court of Australia begs people with custody issues to refrain from it.
Employers these days canvas all platforms.
People are even employed to bully.
No such thing is privacy on the internet. Yes a necessary commodity, but with too
much hate and keyboard warriors, thus i refrain from fb, insta, twitter, tried linkedin, too many elitest snobs!

You sound young enough to try for another career. Can you take any college courses? I think something other than retail sales would be a good thought. Can you do clerical work? I would definitely try to get out of the mall scene. I really think it would be a good move.

Best wishes.

Karen,

I’m not young, I’m in my early forties. I’m looking for full time work in a bleak job market where 1/2 the country has been laid off from jobs.

Thanks for thinking i was a kiddo,

S2bs:

You are young!! I agree with the others to take a break from social media, and try to apply for jobs outside of the mall scene.
