The floods in Australia I’ve seen on the news , it’s a 100 year flood. Extremely Powerful .. anyone heard from HT. I hope he is safe . Sending good vibes your way HT...

Love daylilies foxgloves and lupines. I grow the Russel hybrids they are up to 4K’ tall. It’s funny to watch the bumblebees poke in and out thru the lupine flowers.
Foxgloves is what digitalis is made from for heart patients. Foxglove is most commonly used for heart failure and fluid build up in the body (congestive heart failure ) and irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation). I have white , purple and a peachy color.
The deer and gophers seem to know what plants are toxic....I have them popping up here and there. The daylilies are a delicacy for the deer as they have disappeared except for a couple. I planted over 70 a few years ago... down the 4 .
Some of the daylily new hybrids are gorgeous and way too spendy. The deer will eat all the rose buds and lily buds leaving just the stalks. UGG... So many new hybrids of hostas, hibiscus, heuchura, dahlias, and new varieties of colorful bee balm . I would love more but I know the deer mice and gophers would have a field day.

The gophers have already started in the front pasture it is already a 40 hole golf course with 5 traps and I caught one last week. I had a cat that was good at catching them but he disappeared last year. Cats are great at keeping mice away too. I can say I really don’t miss all those little presents left on the front porch from the cat like beheaded mice or two sections of a gopher . It’s also interesting that cats know not to chow down on the livers of these rat finks, the toxic portions.
It’s all so tempting when googling thru garden catalogues, drooling madly over all the flowers, shrubs & trees. I swear they blow up the colorful pics on purpose to make all the garden plants look so full of leaves and covered in flowers soooo tempting. I admit I have a terrible addiction to garden plants, shrubs, flowers and trees. I am a collector of plants and have so many trees and shrubs my fav a variegated ginkgo tree, to rare mini maples I collect variegated plants. A fav plant is the Gunnera with its 4-5’ spikey leaves , also called the dinosaur plant. One of my fav bulb flowers are glads and lots of new colors and bicolored varieties. I had a collection of lilies and they smelled lovely. But the deer ate the buds and the gophers munched on the bulbs.
Now trying to add only deer proof plants... not sure what gophers don’t eat beside toxic plants.

Well I better quit writing about garden plants of any kind before I end up going to the online catalogues and doing some serious damage to my pocketbook. Then worry about how am I going to plant them... Talk about spring fever...

Sending Hugs and good vibes to all.

Bloods confirmed antidepressant sub level and the same with the mood stabiliser, both extremely low.
Can't arrange anything till the 28th of April. HT

Hello all. Got a good dose of natural vitamin D today, outside in the sunshine and fresh air. Filled 2 large dog food bags with yard debris, cleaning up for the nice weather to come. Of course, that means I'm in more pain, but so worth it!

Lisa bought me two yellow hanging baskets full of pansies for the front hooks. I also put my little garden flag out that has tulips and says Welcome to my Garden. The jonquils are blooming alongside the Dutch Iris and crocuses. My primroses are beginning to bloom a few feet from the hellebores. Coloring up nicely in the main bed.

Hope everyone is having a peaceful day.

Hi Karen your always the best always here for all of us.. 😍 such a sweetheart.

HT... always with you I totally get your frustration. Hope you can get out and garden in sunshine it always lifts my mood. Sometime I’m like a solar battery. Without sun I’m very upset. The minute the sun shines I’m full of energy and just find a better day with a little exercise no matter how gloomy it is. Stay safe Nd healthy.

Pitmon love my primroses, hellebores too they flower every year . Set up s couple of bird feeders. Lots of birds and hummers. Even a few bumblebees out on the heaths and heathers.

Trina keep up the pup training... they help us so much every day.

Sending lots of hugs and good vibes to everyone and always wishing good times ahead...

DECIDED TO KILL THE PRISTIQ, IT SO SUB LEVEL IN MY SYSTEM THAT THE WASH OUT WILL BE
MUCH THE SAME AS THE CRASH I AM IN. EXPLETIVE MY SHRINK, IT AINT WORKING MY HEAD IS CRACKING, AND FIRST DAY WITHOUT IT ALMOST GONE, YEAH MY HEAD IS CRACKING, PRISTIQ IS A HARD WEAN. YOU CAN'T HALVE PRISTIQ, TOXIC AND CAN KILL YA.

SORTED MY BRO WITH HIS MEETING IN MELBOURNE TUESDAY. YESTERDAY I HAD A SWIM SPA AND SAUNA. SUPPORT WORKER TODAY SAID MY EYES ARE BLOOD SHOT, YES AM WRECKED. TODAY I WORKED ON THE TABLE I AM DOING A MOSAIC ON, THE ART TEACHER AND SUPPORT WORKER CONTRIBUTED. YES CAPS, BLUR.

MY BRO ASKED, AFTER I TOLD MY SIS HER PARTNER about THE BLOODS AND CRASH, ARE YOU OKAY, I AM WORRIED, THEN LOOKED STRAIGHT AT ME AND ASKED, ARE YOU SUICIDAL? EXPLETIVE ME, A MENTAL HEALTH WELFARE CHECK! IT WAS TOUCHING. ON THE WAY, AT THE TRAIN INTERCHANGE, FROM REIGIONAL TO METRO, I WAS HUNTING FOR THE LOO, AND FOUND AN OLD SCHOOL RECORD CD SHOP WITH TSHIRTS, FOUND A KILLER JUDAS PRIEST AND BLACK SABBATH TSHIRT. YES I BOUGHT STUFF AT SIS SHOP.

STARTED A COOKING CLASS LAST FRI, NEXT FRIDAY WEEK I WILL HAVE THE CHAP AGAIN, LAST WEEK WAS MEET N GREET, IDEAS ETC. BOUGHT A LOVELY CHEFS KNIFE ON AMAZON, AND FOR THE FRONT A NICE SENSOR LIGHT. BIT MORE SECURITY. ARRANGED FOR SOME THERAPY ON THE NINETH OF APRIL.

THX FOR THE SUPPORT MY DEAR FRIENDS. YES I AM PUSHING HARD. YES COLD TURKEY IS EXTREMELY NAUGHTY, BUT WITH NOT MUCH FLOWING I MAY AS WELL WASH IT OUT THEN IN 4 WEEKS I CAN START A FRESH WITH OTHER TREATMENTS. I SUSPECT THE LAMOTRIGINE WILL BE INCREASED, LEAVING THIS BE.

KEEP STRONG,
LOVE, HT

Be careful,
I hate to see you going off cold turkey. It is like effexor, very hard to wean off. Why can't you continue taking it until the doc finds something else? I am just concerned Jamie.

Best wishes and know we all are here for you.

Hugs my friend...

All good my mates, am washing it out, but ok.
Keep strong everyone. Life is about facing challenges, and i believe that my threshold is
at an all time high, and this a good thing. From adversity comes brilliant awareness and scope
to push and perservere. Strength is reaching out. Listening to some old Ozzy.

Jamie, I went cold turkey off Effexor about 20 years ago before they knew you shouldn’t do that. I thought I had a brain tumor or MS or something. Hang tough.

Garden report: my succulent that looks like aloe has a nice spike of salmon flowers like a miniature yucca.

It was warm enough today to go to the big dog park down in Denver so Della could run. I get exercise by walking the perimeter. My kitten still has his splint on for another week.

Good news - skinny jeans are out and mom jeans are back in!

HT... my son took meds for depressive/bipolar. He just hated the way they made him feel. Some he said seemed to have some serious side effects, gave him high blood pressure. Then trying to slowly titrate off is not easy. I’m glad to hear your busy with mosaics, gardening and starting a cooking class. My son was a builder he built beautiful homes .

Trina Hows the pup doin ? Started mine on another push button to push the recording I made says “Wanna Go See? That means she wants to go out side. I have to hide the cookie ball button , she pushing it way to many times for cookies.🐶
I would love the bohemian curtain idea ... there are some really creative clothing and easy deco creative people on YouTube. It’s amazing how some of the furniture, deco items can be reclaimed and made to look so beautiful. I used to love crafts and repurposing items.

Karen any new crafts you have made lately to share with us. I really loved the white paper bark from the birch tree pics you made with pressed flowers. Very beautiful and cleaver. I just pulled a bunch off the bark off the birch trees and trying to decide what to make other than another framed pic of bark although the bark is beautiful on its own merrit mabe make a mural. I wonder if there is a way to decoupage the bark onto boxes or small things for display?

Pitmom... how did your curtains turn out and you have good luck finding items to repurpose. Have you found a handyman to fix the trailer walls? I just had a ceiling leak in the kitchen ceiling and did a small drywall patch. It turned out pretty good. Now have to paint the whole ceiling. The gutter was leaking causing the leak in the ceiling. It’s always something.

Hugs and lots of good vibes sent to everyone... 🤗👍

Thanks for asking Chotti. I bet you could decoupage the birch bark. That would look so cool. I am wanting to go in the woods behind me and look for more. I have a few birches on my property. A few dead ones too to get bark off of. That is if no one has gotten it first. I have trouble keeping people out,. I put up signs and they tear them down. But they just really want the trail to get through.

I hope you have a lovely day today Chotti.

I haven't been doing much art lately. I need to figure out how to sell online. There is shopify I want to look into. Or create my own web site. Don't really know how. I will figure something out though in time.'

Take care,

Take care all...

Karen thanks I did have a lovely day.
Selling your art online that’s a great idea . Just google how to sell stuff online. Lots of ideas pop up. I bet they would sell in a flash. Your a very talented artist. The next step how to price your works of art. Is there a art shop that sells art works near you.. a lot of artists on YouTube sell pics they design right there as viewers watch as it’s finished sometime even give away as reward for watching. There are many will amazing followers. Very lucrative.

I have a lovely box to cover about 12” x20” will give it a try. A try to cover trim around mirrors . I hope nobody has taken the bark before you get to it. 500 pieces 9by 12” gets over $1000.00. Of course I’ll never collect that much off four birch trees but you can sell bark online too.

I have a friend who sells on Etsy she is a mosaic artist especially during holidays she gets a lot of orders. Some on Facebook and others on pic networks like photo bucket or flicker. I had thought about selling stuff but then ya got peops coming to the house or packing stuff to mail. Not really into setting up that dept. . Or maybe local art fairs or county fairs. That seems a lot easier. It just depends on what you feel comfortable with setting up.

I have a lot of silver serving pieces from my grandmother trays bowls pitchers plates, and Crystal glasses set for 12...silver tea sets , nobody likes these ole fashioned pieces anymore. So I will probably just take them to the local pawn shops. Or take to antique shops. Rarely see these old sets online anymore. Trying to clean things out ... ya need a hard hat to open closets around here. We are in the middle of Mid Century design which is all the rage now. Boy am I way behind the current design rage.

Sending hugs to Trina, HT, pitmom, Kathy,

I bet everyone is outside today nice weather sun shinning...

Thanks Chotti,

I will look into these ideas. Sometimes it is so simple, I can't see it. Google selling online. Thank you.

I think you have good ideas for the birch bark. I love it. I have fallen trees I take it off. Usually the inside wood has rotted and all I have to do is clean it up. Get the sawdust out of the middle and cut to desired size. I like that you can pull a little off and not hurt the tree.

I had a lot of antique dishes. Sold a lot of them. Some had gold on them which you can't use in microwave.

I had a lot of glassware that is mostly gone now too. I collected at one time I guess. Some of it so pretty.

I hope you have a fantastic day today Chotti.

Take care and thanks for posting.

Hugs, Karen...

Ugh. Hit hard by depression today, makes everything hurt.

My father needs help with food, just doesn't have the energy to grocery shop and prepare simple frozen meals anymore. Meals On Wheels wont' help him because he still drives (although at 94.5 he probably shouldn't). My brother, who lives NEXT DOOR to him, won't even answer my text asking him to help Dad. They are 500 miles away from here.

Plus 2-3 other high stress situations going on. I should do my taxes, it'll just take an hour, but I may just take some pain meds and go back to bed. Not the best way to deal with anything... ugh.
