scool  Hi everyone... I have stumbled onto this site looking for answers like all of you. I live in Australia, am 49 female and was on Prozac for 11months......I weaned off them starting Xmas day, and have had none since end of January. From what I can gather my metabolism has ground to a halt !!!!! I gained about 20lbs in that time and seem to be fighting the bulge no matter what I do.......just LOOKING at food increases weight. ( from 54kg to 64 kg ) I am going to start having a search aroung for a 'kick start to ones metabolism'.  there must be heaps of information, as long as it doent involve buying expensive supplements. I would really like our Workcover system to pay for and manage my weight loss as a work injury is the cause of my reason for taking Prozac in the first place....and it turned me into a sexless, lazy, flabby blob, who's clothes either dont fit, or strangle me until I feel sick....
I work in aged care institutions, and constantly see residents go on anti depressants. Their mobility and food intake is not changed, but their weight baloons. It is almost like a controlled trial, because they cant move, or get any more food than we give them, so the answer to me is clear....I give my self to October this year....and hope that my blubber will vanish the same way it appeared..... quickly... Cheers to you all..... Louise
