Somebody please help me!!! I was treated for Bulimia when I was 16, that was 20 years ago. I still am always worried about my weight but I don't binge and purge at all.
Well, I had some other issues that caused my children to be temporarily removed. I've complied with everything CPS told me to do to get them back, but now they say I can't have them back because if I was Bulimic at 16 I must still be Bulimic!!! I don't know if that's true or not, but I need to find out. Also, I'm sure there are many Bulimics out there who aren't losing their kids over it.
PLEASE help me!!! I am desperate!

I am sorry your going through this.  I am not sure I understand what your asking here....Is CPS wanting you to have a professional opinion that your mentally stable enough to have your kids back?  I am not sure how they can withhold your children for something that occurred 20 years ago, if it is not a continuing problem.  But when your dealing with Family Services they can pretty well do whatever they want too once your in "the system".  I posted a link to Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas that does eating disorder support groups in your other post.  I will include it here also.  If you go to a hospital for counseling than they usually provide low cost services for low income families.  They can also help with financial matters like payment plans, and social services with helping to set up other services if needed and they can intercede with CPS...if this is needed.  I dont know your situation so I am really grasping at straws here.  I am sorry for that and please feel free to correct me if you find that I am wrong at all......
