I have been on Lex for 3 weeks now. I had some teeth clenching in the beginning, but a .25mg Xanax took care of that. I was taking the Lex at night, and was having trouble sleeping. I switched to morning dosage, and still was waking one to two times a night. This week I have started taking two .25mg Xanax to help sleeping, but so far that hasn't been helping much. Can anyone give me advice on issue they had on Lex? Thanks!

Hi scarletangel,  I wanted to welcome you to healing well forum.  We are happy to have you.  I dont take Lexapro and never have but we have many members who do.  I am sure they will be along to post their own experiences with the drug.  I take Effexor Xr and do notice when I am on an antidepressant I often clench my teeth.  I chew gum a lot to help with this also so my jaw doesnt hurt so much.  It is very important to keep in mind that everyone reacts differently to these meds to try to keep an open mind.  I have went back through the archives and pulled up an older posting on Lexapro that you can read up on if you wish...I will post the link for you below.  I hope you continue to post here as this is a wonderful site for support and information.  Take care and good luck on your meds.

This time around I am having more side effect on Lexapro then I did the last time I was on it. I have noticed that I do not sleep as well on it as well too, but when I am real tired I will take a Tylonal PM to help & that seems to do the trick for me.

I took 1 day of ciprolex which i have been told is the same as lexapro, I could not function.

I found for me the wellbutrin is the one I can tolerate...
