Hello my name is Wolf... Just wanted to say howdy to the group because I am new here.  I have had depression for years but, it sort of took a vacation for a while.  My depression is brought on by the fact that I have chronic pain, autism and other disabilities.  So many things have changed in my life that the sense of orrder I crave to maintain as an autistic person has been shattered which makes me depressed.  Now I need anti-depression medicines to help me deal with situations not of my making over which I have no control that continuously infuse into my life the poisons of disorder that drive me mad as a order loving autistic being.
Currently I am taking Cymbalta which I like but will have to stop taking becase it makes me so totally hyper I can never get any sleep at all NONE!  I usually do not like to sleep but getting no sleep at all is killing me.  Thats like having the pain online 24 hours a day seven days a week 365 days a year and I can't handle uninterrupted pain with NO sleep!

Hi and welcome Wolf! WOW, you have just taught me something new. While working with an autistic boy a few years ago, his little mind would go off to space all the time, I would try to keep him focused to no avail most times. He was able to seem to be not into what we were doing but still had the answers correct. But now I can understand what he was doing is just like you are saying.......looking into our world from his prespective and catching on to what I was teaching him. I never thought he was paying attention but the little guy surely was. He had a photographic memory that was awesome too. Back on the to topic, my brother just left an in-house detox in which he is getting off of opiates, that he began taking when he was fighting cancer last year. He is a recovered(or recovering alcholic) of many years. He got the news that his last PET Scan showed he was cancer free. (Thank you Jesus!) Now he wants to go back to work but he has become dependant to the opiate drugs. Anyway the Hospital handled one drug at a time and it seems that he is doing alot better now. They are giving him a drug that is an Opiate Blocker, works like the pill he once got for alcholism detox except doesn't make him deathly ill, just totally blocks Opiates. Ok, ok, I will stop rambling. Please do seek a Psychi to help you through, they specialize in meds with which meds work. Keep in touch with us. Be blessed!!
