Dr put me on cymbalta .I just went up to 30 mg . being weaned off zoloft which i loved for 5 yrs . stress lately sent my system out of wack . I would love to know how the lexapro does . I have tried Cymbalta before last year but he started me off at the highest dose . This time we started at the lowest . If this dosen't work I am going to require about Lexapro . Keep me informed please and best of luck .

Hi lilrdktp,

I have been takin lexapro for about 3 weeks now and had some side effects in the first week such as palpitations and a bit of increased anxiety but these went after a week and it wasnt anything I couldn't not deal with which suprised me. My doc told me that lexapro is good for fewer side effects but I suppose everyone is different. In my opinion, its the best one Ive found so far.
Good Luck and keep in touch.
Take care and god bless,
Victoria

Thanks so much for your response . I hope i do well on it . Keep me informed . I am worried though because i heard also lexapro had fewer side effects. I do like to every once in a while have a beer or mixed drink and it sounds scarey when it comes to alcohol and this . I will worry one drink will cause me to have liver damage .

Keep in touch and god bless you also .

I read that there is no prrof that drinking alcohol and taking lexapro causes any damage but as alcohol lowers the mood, drinking is not recommended with lexapro. Hope you do ok, i have every faith.

Take care,

Thats good then but do be careful when drinking with any antidepressant though because as I read, alchol does lower your mood.

Keep in touch,
Take care
