Hiya, just saying Hi. I'm 23 and have had depression for years. I really feel like I've turned a corner after I read Accidental Recklessness by Ruby Holmes and I realised that other young people have been exactly like me. I just feel like I have some motivation back y'know? I hope it continues.
Take care all,

Hi Dara, I'm glad you felt encouraged by the book. I think that it helps us to feel "validated" and that we are not alone. I hope your motivation continues too. Take care.

Hi Dara, welcome to Healing Well.  I havent ever read that book but I am glad that you felt inspired by it.  It is good to know that your not alone when you have depression as we tend to isolate, and push others away and only concentrate on the negative feelings that we are having.  That is what is so wonderful about this site here...there are so many people who know exactly what you are going through.  I hope you continue to post and tell us more about yourself when you feel comfortable.  Take care
