Hi nmlymegal, welcome to healing well forum, we are happy to have you.  Cymbalta is one of the newest antidepressants on the market.  I havent taken it but many here have and I am sure you will get many responses to your post regarding it I hope.  In the meantime I have pulled up some information for you on it so you can do some research.  I do hope you come back and post often....take care :-)
**at the bottom of the cymbalta page on the far left side below Sign up for Cymbalta emails you will find - Prescribing Information - when you click on that link it will pull up a file in PDF format that will tell you all you are questioning regarding this medication.

I have lots going on in our family this last 16 hours. Anyhow I think it works well at least for me. I dont seem to have side affects from it eithter. Chilkoot

I'm new to this forum. I'm usually on the crohns forum but I am dealing with a bad depression right now.
I have been on cymbalta and it messed up my stomach to the point that I went into another crohns flare [or should I say one of the causes.] However even though I was having gut pain the envolved D and vomiting I was happier than I have been in a long time.
But the GI had it changed anyway. I couldn't afford to lose any more weight.
hope I helped

tongue  On 60mg a day. Started out at 30. Helps with aches and pains, wife says I seem happier. I feel more motivated and have more energy even though I do have some gut side effects.
Hope it works well for you.
