Hi Rintintin and Welcome to HealingWell!

I wanted to be the first to welcome you to the forums and I hope that you find all the support and advice you need.

As for your dizziness etc... Have you considered changing meds? Which med are you taking? It may be a side effect of the med you are taking. Or it may be a temp side effect if you have just started a new one... in which case I would stick with it for a few weeks.

Best Wishes

Hi Rintintin I also wanted to add my welcome to you, we are very happy to have you join us here.  I was wondering too what medication your taking, and how long you have been on it.  Have you reported this problem to your doctor?  You may also want to look into getting a complete physical done if you havent had one done in the last year.  They should do all the blood work with this also.
Depression does cause fatigue but then sometimes so do antidepressants.  It is always a gamble as each person is different and has individual results with these medications.  I took Zoloft for years and was tired all the time.
One great way to combat the fatigue is exercise.  I know the thought of exercise is the last thing anyone whats to consider...but, even getting out and taking a short walk and perhaps each day going a little further will eventually start to help greatly with the fatigue.  I go to the gym everyday and put in at least 3 miles on the machines...try for 5 but sometimes dont reach that, however my energy levels are so much increased.  I dont even consider napping in the afternoons anymore.
Anyhow, do give your doc a call about how your feeling.  And please do keep posting, letting us know how your doing.  Take care

Hi Rintintin and welcome!

I'm on Mirtazapine, which does make me generally tired through the day. Even without that though, I'm very lethargic generally.

I find changing the way I eat helps. I'm on a high fat, high calorie diet. Sometimes my body just gets tired from having to try digesting the fatty foods. At these times, I find a nice crispy salad can do wonders for my energy levels. I don't feel so bloated and full afterwards. I've spent all this week on salads, altering what I make them with. I generally feel more energetic this week, and have got soooo much housework done.

Sitting out in the sun also makes me really tired, and it takes so much more energy to move.
Because it is so hot, make sure you are getting plenty of fluids. Dehydration can make you feel a bit light-headed and really tired. I've been having a melon a day, as I can never mange too just drink enough too keep myself fully hydrated.

Hope some of this helps. I'm no expert, but I definately know how annoying it is, just being tired or lacking in energy.

Take care!
