yeah I got my last blood series results and I am GOLDEN!!! Although my fasting glucose was 127 doc is attributing it to high pain levels since I ran out of celebrex for the arthritic spine. Anyway, my A1C is 5.5!!!

It's better now than it was when I was eating starches and taking Lantus and Avandia to cover them. It was 5.6 then and I was eating badly and feeling rotten. Got out the grill and had the grilled veggies again last night. Droozle them with olive oil, dust with garlic powder and grill till warm, not soggy. Yummm!

Amazing how some good blood tests can boost your whole outlook. Oh, and I got some meds from the doctor so my pain is better and moring numbers are down again. tongue Life is good.

They may call this high by their standards. You want to be between 4.4 and 6.6 according to my lab so you would be GOLDEN here, too. tongue Check with your doctor and see what he/she says. And keep doing your level best to test and make good choices. That's all we can do... that and keep the doc informed so we can make good decisions about meds/exercise and food plan alterations.

Having access to this site has enabled me to learn more about my diabetes than two years of nursing school, and two separate sets of diabetes education classes from the hospital ever did for me. I'm still learning, too!

Hang in there, girlfriend!
