Does anyone else's Dr want them to split the doseage morning and night? Does it work well for you?

For some people, long-acting insulin does not last the 24 hours as advertised (it can range from 16-26 hours). Splitting the dose can sometimes help cover that gap (you'll have 2 insulin profiles that overlap instead of just one).

I tried splitting my Lantus when I was on it but, that didn't work for me. I use Levemir now and inject it twice/day.
