Joni, you're wrong ... quitting smoking is easy ... I've done it at least 6 times this year
You are right ... it is a monster! Thanks for the encouragement
Kris, there are some days where I'd gladly trade my A1C for your occasional
numbers of smokes but I think that this is probably a topic for another forum
Congratulations to you on your moderation! ... and to you too Joni on your 1 year & 8 months! (I know how tough that is)
Regarding finding a good angle
; my doc told me about
another patient of his that
(a) thought hard about
how to quit for 1 year
(b) started and continued using the patch for another full year
He said "It may sound like a long time but it worked!"
He's a real bottom line
kind of guy -- whatever makes you healthy, DO IT!
Anyway, I think that's going to be my personal goal for this year -- GET HEALTHY ... DO IT!
Editor's note: Another downside
to losing weight -- had my passport pics taken last week (not supposed to smile or wear glasses). I hope nobody ever asks to see my driver's license pic for comparison (40 lbs. heavier, glasses, big stoopid grin, crewcut). Might prove to be interesting on a cross-border trip next week
