I recently found two things in the supermarket that made me happy.
One is Kroger's packaged "Rainbow Slaw" which is slivered broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and red cabbage. These are the only ingredients, so you can do what you want with them: eat them cold alone as a salad or with lettuce, put some mayo on it and make a slaw, or even cook them. I'm fairly sure the cauliflower and broccoli parts are from the stems most of which we wouldn't eat anyway. And I certainly wouldn't have the patience to slice them up like this anyway.
The other is a protein energy bar called "power Crunch" It's made of protein whey and peanut butter, but unlike other protein or "health" bars, these have only 10 gr. of carbs. They were on sale for $1 so I bought several for snacks.
