Hi UC and welcome to this part of HW. First congratulations on a healthy lifestyle of walking because that is really great for your overall health!
If you are having symptoms of weakness, dizziness and/or general uneasiness when your blood sugar is like that then you should probably eat a little snack or drink a small glass of juice or suck on a hard candy. You might want to take a couple of hard candies with you on the walk. If you are not having any of those symptoms, then I wouldn't do anything about
it - although it might still be a good idea to take a couple of the candies with you.
It's normal for blood sugar to drop after exercise which is why it's never wise to exercise on an empty stomach. Walking after eating is perfectly fine and helps the body get started using the food you ate and giving you energy.
Although a 56 is on the low side, it's after walking. Do you know what your blood sugar is during the day at other times, like before you eat lunch or dinner?
