I have been a diabetic for about 10 years that I know of.    My biggest problem is the pain I have in my feet before getting up in the morning.    Does anyone else have this, if so, please tell me about it.       I seem to be ok once I'm up and have a  good pair of shoes on.     I have such pain if I try to walk barefooted though.   My best bet is to put on tennis shoes when I first get up.   The pain is in the ball of my foot mostly.     It radiates to other parts but that is where it is the worst.    My a1c was 5.5 the last time I had it measured, so it isn't that bad.   My bs reading is usually in the high 80's or low 90's when I get up in the morning.
Thanks for any help.

I would strongly recommend that you see a podiatrist about your foot pain. It could be anything from plantar fascitis (sp?) [which is tendonitis of the foot tendon] to neuropathy, plantar's warts, or a host of other problems. Tell your podiatrist that you are diabetic and have him/her do a complete foot exam. Foot pain is nothing to ignore.
