thx mate. yep is increase the walkies as pain subsides. awaiting results to gp. shrink agreed with gabapentin, for my research shows it is an adjunct for bi-polar and good efficacy. not as many probs with lamictal than others. keep well.

Aww Turtle, I worry about the members who post here and are going through challenging times. I am very glad you are being proactive and getting your health taken care of. Of course, it also means you are also making the best decisions in food and activity.

thx. sugars perfect.. bar re learning to titrate down without the hypos. portion control good. gabapentin helping some. 16 mth wait on first carpal tunnel cut chop. bulges in neck giving some jip. slang pommie term I learnt when over there. keep strong everyone. remember the turtles mantra, slow and steady wins the race. proactivity is everything, it builds resilience and promotes self efficacy.

Great that your readings are perfect! Stay in there because blood sugar affects so many organs! Sorry about the 16 month wait for the surgery! Wow! What's going on with the bulges in the neck? (Jig, pommie? love those!) tongue

Ok, since you know about the disc and muscle problems in the neck already, what does the doctor say the solution is? What therapy, etc.? And a 16 month wait for the carpal fix? Why more than a year's wait? You must be enduring a lot of pain now! I feel so bad for you! sad

Wow! Sad that you have been going through so much, Turtle. I'd be a basket case by now.
I hope that you are getting some help to keep your mental state healthy. Most people
need someone to talk to who can also get them contacts for other things they need.

I can't believe they're taking that long to get your Carpal Tunnel surgery done. Doesn't
take more than 1/2 hour. Sure was a relief to get that done. My hand didn't bother me
during the day much but it would sure wake me up at night. I had an ice bucket beside my
bed. When my hand started hurting, I'd just drop my hand into the ice bucket until it got real
cold and the pain stayed away for a good hour. When I was up walking, I'd let my hand drop,
so it didn't hurt much.

Also, over here the Doctors have "cancellation lists". So, if a patient can't make an appointment
then the next person on the list gets in faster. Maybe, you could put your name on it, if you have
the same.

In a library? Well, that's a first. Darn thieves are everywhere. Good that you got most of your cards
back. Glad that they didn't get any money from you.

Nice job at keeping your sugars pretty level. That does help.

Hopefully, you are getting enough sleep, so that your mind can rest.

Take care Turtle. Keep fighting!! smile

Turtle, I'm so sorry about the theft! I hope you have everything back and replaced by now. And remember that the squeaky wheel gets the grease, so speak up about the immediate need for that surgery!

Good thoughts flying out to you!

I'm happy you got your wallet back. Is the travel card easy to replace? Good luck with the new med. As you know: the bottom line is what your blood sugar is because keeping it as "normal" as possible will help avoid complications.

How's the weather?

Water is soothing to the soul. So, if it's the ocean, a river or a lake, I think it does affect a person's mood. At least mine. Hope you continue on the road to feeling better....
