So I've been having this excessive need to nap - well, a hard sleep - in the afternoons. I mentioned it in another thread and Lanie suggested I take a blood sugar reading when I feel this way.
So, right now it tested at 165. My breakfast was 8:30 - a protein bar, banana, and water. Lunch about
an hour ago (12:00) of instant cheese grits and water. A bit higher carb lunch than usual.
Probably important to note that my test strips say they expired 2016/8 - about
2.75 years ago. They've been in a cool dry place -- I'll take a couple more readings, maybe that will help determine if the strips are bad. I have no idea how close to the expiration date they really expire.
PS. Was in the gym from 9-10 lifting weights, then rowed for 10 minutes. After this post I drank 2 cups of low-fat chocolate milk, then crashed.
PS. After I woke up, 3 hrs later, blood sugar tested at 92.
