In the past few months I've been diagnosed with bursitis and 2x tendonitis in my right hip, tendonitis and meniscus tear in my left knee, and now tendonitis in my left shoulder.

Since I haven't been doing anything differently than usual, I'm wondering if there is a more systemic cause to all this. The only thing I have found is that sometimes tendonitis is linked to diabetes. Has anyone every heard or read about or experienced this?

My sugars were high for a while a couple of years ago, but since they went down I haven't been testing very regularly -- I will check again!

Thanks

Hi GreenBeans and Happy New Year! I have read several accounts of this and frozen shoulder related to people with diabetes and blood sugar issues but I don't know why there's a relationship. I myself have dealt with hip bursitis a few times but it was due to over working the legs (too many repetitive exercises). So, maybe I'm prone to this because of my blood sugar? I have no idea. Sorry I can't help more.

Best wishes to overcome this and for a healthy new year, too!

I knew it was a long shot, but thought I'd ask. Happy New Year!
