HCL Hydrochlorothiazide and elevated A-1 C’s

Does anyone else have any experience with having an elevated A1c after taking hydrochlorothiazide? I’ve read the drugs.com version and would like some first-hand experiences of any are available.

Hi Rat and welcome! I personally have not been prescribed hydrochlorothiazide because it does elevate blood sugar. My doctors have had me on ACE inhibitors for my blood pressure because that class of BP drugs help protect the kidneys.
