Hi,
Im Andrea and i live in Italy.
I have been diabetic since 2009 and have always played sports. For a few months now I approached body building and therefore I follow a high-calorie diet for increasing muscle mass. It is a diet rich in CHO therefore known of elevations above 200 mg/dl of blood sugar, not after 2 hours but after 3/4 hours. In fact, at night I get up even 2/3 times to correct it. I use freestyle libre 2 and insulin Humalog and Tresiba. Could an increase in Tresiba solve this problem? In a few months I should switch to the pump.

Hello Andrea and welcome! I don't know the answer to your question. This is a particular situation so you really need to consult your doctor or endocrinologist. We are not specialists here and I have no experience with body building. I'm sorry. I do know, however, that protein will not raise your blood sugar in general.

Maybe another member can help you with more information.
