I'm using the silhouette 17mm and most of the time when I change the site the needle is bending to the point that I can't remove the cap from it. I end up having to pull the whole thing out and start over again. Could I be doing something to cause this or does anyone else have the same problem?? This is the only time I have had any reserve about having my pump. HELP eyes

(I put in a subject so this would be easier for other pump users to find ~Jeannie)

I don't know. Is there a particular reason you are using that particular infusion set? Perhaps a different infusion set would work better for you. I use a quick set with a 6mm cannula. I also use a quick serter. I haven't run into any problems with it yet. Some people have said they have gotten kinks in the cannula and had to change the infusion set but that hasn't happened to me. It also comes in a 9mm. There are other infusion sets you can try too. Maybe you can contact your supplier and ask for some samples so you know which one you like best.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.  Shouldn't I be invincible by now?

AMM , Thanks, I never thought of asking for samples, I;'ll give it a try, I think that the 17mm is way to long. My educator had me try 2 different ones before I got the pump and the silhouette didn't stick up as far from my skin, I'm finding out it really doesn't matter. I'm not walking down the red carpet or anything like that, soooooooo. I'll have to try something different . Samples sound great. My DR gives me samples all the time so I can try out different meds and not have to pay through the nose. I LOVE HER
