If I asked this before, please forgive me, but is anyone out there on xanax for anxiety disorder. I am T1 diabetic on pump for 8 years. Been T1 for 48 years. Sugar was a problem in the beginning when I got sick, so I hardly ate to keep the sugar down, but sugar has been in good control. I am wondering if the xanax is taking my appetite away or is it just because I'm not well yet. When I got sick, I couldn't eat or sleep until I went to the Pdoc. and got meds. Eating is better but I just don't have my appetite back like before and I keep losing a lb. every week. I've gone from 138-140 to 125 in three months. My Pdoc doesn't think it's the xanax.

Anyone have any experience with anxiety, xanax along with the diabetes??? My xanax is 0.5 4 x's per day. Works well that way to space it out. Keeps the anxiety away great, but what about the appetite?? Appreciate any advice or experience anyone has had with this lousy disorder. Diabetes is hard enough without this added burden!! Appreciate any wisdom out there!

Hi mernie, I'm sorry you haven't gotten any responses.  I'm going to re-post your questions in another forum (Anxiety and Panic Disorders) where you might get some answers, so please check back under that forum's name.  I hope you get some replies there and good luck.
