father does not understand importance of surgery

My father keeps saying that surgery is a last resort, but I told him that it is actually very helpful and can even be done non invasively. He wants to look at other problems first and some how want me to deal with my emotions first confused Then I told him that I am depressed due to the limitations I have from epilepsy and that they are holding me back. He still think I need to deal with the emotional part first. I can't take having the epilepsy I have anymore even though people keep telling me there are worse cases.

have you tried other seizure control methods?
