I'm a 22 year old perfectly healthy female...aside from this stupid temporal lobe epilepsy!!! It is terrible! I don't pass out or convulse. I just get this strange Deja vu feelings extremely bad! It is like I've been there before but a billion times stronger...the feeling that accompanies the deja vu is horrible. I can't even explain it. It is sometimes is so strong it makes me vomit where ever I am...this means parks, parking lots, hotels! Luckly for me all the vomiting has only happened in front of my best friend and he is very understanding of my condition. I thought about taking medicine but the medicine they want to put me on cause weight loss and I'm all ready stick and bones as it is. It also causes memory loss....I don't have the best memory as it is lol. The Dr's. said if I started taking it and stop ( or just forgot to take the medicine for several days ) it can cause a full falling on the floor convulsing type of seizure. This scares me because as I stated I don't have the greatest memory as it remembering to taking medication avidily would be a problem for me. I feel like the only one in the world that goes through this. I juts need some reassurance I know that there are people out there like me going through simular things. confused
It happened to me three times yesterday!!!!!! Once at church, once at home, once when I was almost asleep! Then it happened 3 days prior at a park. =\ It hasnt happened this much in years...that was before I knew it was epilepsy though.! I just though I got weird off feelings...

If this is epilepsy, you sure need to be on meds. I have Sun thru Sat compartments that I keep my meds in. I just see it lying on the kitchen counter when I get up each morning and take the meds. I have a white one for a.m. and a blue one for p.m. Then I take the night ones before I go to bed. You get used to it. I have never had vomiting w/a seizure. I get lost, disoriented, confused, can't speak and stare at things. I have temporal lobe e. too. (complex partials) Do what the dr says so you don't crash a vehicle like I did, very scary.

If you are having these seizures you should be on some sort of medication, there are so many out there. I have a compartment for just the morning and then I take my noon meds after lunch and night meds when I go to bed. You do get used to it after you have been taking them for awhile.

First off I'm not going to say I understand what your going through because I hate it when people do that, so I'm just going to tell you what my situation is at the moment.
I'm 23 and I have somewhat similar seizures you are having (except less vomiting and the sensation is not quite as bad), and I have been medicated for about 5 years now so my seizures aren't as frequent. My neurologist assures me i have, and I quote: "complex partial seizures centering from the left temporal lobe", but other than that I am a normal healthy guy (serious, I asked what was wrong with me one day and the answer I got was "we don't know"). The meds I'm on give me weight loss which probably isn't a good thing since i'm quite thin as it, but its all good, I just need to eat more to make up for it. I had a dodgy memory to start with, and yes the meds have shot that to hell, I mean i have my moments, but its all good in the end.

I hope I have helped a little, anything you want to know I might be able to steer you in the right direction, I have been on 4 different meds (on lucky number 4 now, YAY!) or if you just want a bit of chat, i'll be more that happy to be to lend a hand.  Good luck, and the most important thing I can say is BE POSITIVE, I know its cliche, but it works, stuff happens and you just got to get up and get over it and it sounds like you have a good friend to help you do that.
