I don't know where to start. I have these "attacks" I call them. I've referred to them as panic attacks for many years. I do think I have panic attacks too though. It's complicated because I've had lyme a long time.

I was in my therapists office and suddenly I had a white flash in my right, I ripped my glasses off and grabbed my for a split second I couldn't see, my right side of my head went numb and I felt like I couldn't hi of my head up. My hearing was strange and my arms felt heavy and had a burning and tingling. I couldn't talk for about 10-20 seconds and I felt very afraid and then my heart felt funky. My therapist was asking what was wrong and I couldn't explain right away. Once. I was able to explain what I had been and was feeling I said "I feel really weird, I don't know I think maybe it's a panic attack?" She said "I don't think so, I think you just had a seizure". There was no jerking or anything, just felt twitchy in my face prior to and I got and get a dusty smell in my nose and pressure like I'm going to get a nose bleed. I shiver and feel cold and my teeth chatter after... It's really weird

Looking for insight

Were you able to communicate during this? Any time I've had a grand-mal or petit-mal seizure I've never been able to talk at all. I can't make sense of anything going on and typically I black out. I'm not sure what it could be that you're experiencing, but there are many forms of seizures and triggers. Hopefully your doctor will set you up for an EEG that will help for one thing and do some blood work. You know your body better than any doctor so if their answers don't seem right then don't be afraid to go and get a second opinion.

I see the original post was from May 9th, how has everything worked out. Below are some of my views on the topic.

A white flash in your right what? Eye I would suppose? A little known fact, outside the medical community is that 1/2 of the vision in each eye goes to one brain half, 1/2 goes to the other.

I've had ocular (visual) migraines. There is a shape that is commonly seen during these migraines, known as a scintillating scotoma (colorful blind spot). My migraines appeared to be in the left or right side, but in reality they were in the left or right visual field of each eye.

If I were you, I'd phone the doctor office, tell them what occurred, or ask the doctor to call you when he/she has the chance. The doctor may wish to Rule-out more serious possibilities. Although seizures are a possibility, perhaps anxiety as well, you need to be sure you didn't have a Transient Ischemic Attact (TIA). If you did, you'd need to be treated to assure that you don't have any more.

I've lived through quite a few really weird things over the years, I went blind in one eye twice (came back within minutes, determined to be vascular constriction, not clots), got double vision and did everything but pass out (Basilar Migraine), ocular migraines, irregular heartbeat, all scary stuff and all benign in my case. I also have Temporal Lobe Seizures. When these things first occur, off to the doctor I go.

Hi there Maine, how are you doing now?

I have not been diagnosed with seizures but am seeing a neuro soon, I have experienced the what I call muffled hearing, the burning (feels like electricity) in my arms, also feel shaky in my arms but you can't see them moving, when these spells happen I always get a wavy feeling in my head and everything kind of slows down, like in a dream, I rarely speak but if I do it's a few slow words.

Hope you get answers, let us know how you are doing? Take care.
