Hello. I was hoping to get your advice on something.

So i've been carrying a lot of muscle tension due to stress and anxiety, which leads to chronic back pain, neck pain. My doctor put me on this combination of two in one drugs ( Gabapentin 400 mg and nortriptyline 10 mg for 10 days).

The states that titration for Gabapentin should be done starting with day 1 300 mg and day 2 600 mg and so on.

So im worried about the dosage, the lack of titration. Even though i have to take a consistent dose of 400 mg for 10 days, with no increase in dosage. I'm still concerned about not working my way up to 400 mg's. I also understand that its not really a high dose, it can be taken upto 2400 mg safely ( with proper titration).

I have health anxiety and this kind of uncertainty is a big time trigger for me. I know i should be asking these questions from my doctor ( and i will) but my appointment isn't for a another couple of days. So i was hoping in the mean time you could offer some insight as to if my worry is exaggerated or justified.

Thats a high dose Ravdeep,

But docs know what they are doing so do not ask Mr Google or you will feel more anxiety.

ask docs any questions ,dont feel ashamed plz.

they should answer your concerns.

i just take advil for muscle pain .

not much stronger as gaba anymore.

hope they help you and keep you pain free.
good luck!

I wouldn't worry about 400mg of Gabapentin. Only a small percentage of physicians titrate the dose up.
