Hello, I'm curious if anyone here experiences nocturnal seizures. I'm in my late 20s and always had "night terrors" as a child and teen. As I've gotten older these "night terrors" have remained but they aren't typical night terrors. At least 2 times a week I wake up, about an hour or two after falling asleep running out of my bedroom screaming profanities. I'm not afraid though, I see giant bugs, colorful shapes, etc. coming out of the ceiling, I "wake up" half way across the house, look at the time and fall right back asleep.

On multiple occasions I have woken up on my bedroom floor, not from an initial impact of falling, I truly don't know how I got there. One night I woke up picking up pieces of glass on the floor? I guess I broke a candle on my nightstand? No recollection of the incident other than I was picking up pieces of glass when I woke up. I often have random bruises on my body with no explinatokn.

I definitely sound crazy but this is getting so frequent it's driving me nuts! I'm going to try and get a referral for a sleep study, but in the mean time does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks for your time!

Hi. Sounds like that is a different type of parasomnia. I don't think that is a seizure. But I am not a doctor.

Oh. I have REM behavior disorder, Central sleep apnea, severe sleep fragmentation and myoclonic jerks when I lay down.
