Hello
I have just recently started having these strange feelings. My primary doctor says I’m having anxiety or panic attacks but I’m pretty positive that is not the case. Had my husband not been diagnosed with epilepsy 4 years ago I might have gone along with that diagnosis. With my own research I have found that what I experience is a lot like a partial seizure. I get a intense nausea upside down feeling in my stomach, I get a quick pain in my head, then a strange tingley hot feeling goes down my body, everything around me looks normal but not, like I’m out of my body. Then I can hardly talk or move. In my brain I know I can move but I just can’t do it. I have to think hard on the words I am trying to say if I can say anything. That is when I get a fearful feeling like something really bad is about to happen. When I feel like I can move, I have to go to the bathroom and have a BM. Some symptoms last maybe 1 to 2 mins. Others like the nausea and head pain last most of the day. I go to neurologist on Nov 27. Praying I get some answers and relief. They are happening 3-4 times a week. It is pretty much the exact same symptoms every time it happens. Do you think it’s anxiety/panic attacks or some kind of seizures? This is all very scary and I never feel any panic until after an “episode”.

Anxiety can mimic many different conditions. In many of the forums here at HW people have anxiety & just know they are dying of cancer or of a heart disease to just name a couple. Many will think they have brain cancer because they get a headache a time or two. I am not saying this is your situation, what I am saying is don't go down that path. See the neurologist on the 27th & try to not stress over this, it certainly will not help. Let us know how the appt goes.

Thank you for the information. Had appointment with neurologist and he is being very thorough. Having a routine EEG then possibly wearing it home for a couple of days for monitoring. Then an MRI to see if I have had a mild stroke, etc. He is thinking it could be seizures, migraines without the excruciating headaches or severe anxiety. Looking forward to having some answers and getting on with a new normal life.
