Hi Mystic Dreamer,

Welcome to Healingwell. You'll find everyone here really friendly and full of good advice. (Except for me. Nowadays I'm just bitter.) Sounds like you're having a bit of a rough time. I found tegretol helped get rid of the 'big daddys of seizures' though still have plenty of small and medium sized daddys to keep me entertained. But different drugs seem to help different people.

Getting stuck in ER can be a pain, can't it, especially as it always takes them about 6 hours to check to you out again. Have you been hurting yourself when you have a seizure, falling down and so on? If so, do you get a warning when you're about to have one - feeling a bit awful before it strikes? (I think it might be called an aura). If you do, that's when you're supposed to lie down in a foetal position or something. Though I never had the nerve to do that if it was happening in public.
