I'll go to see my doctor on Monday and ask him for Lyrica but what I want to ask here is if anyone knows of a all-in-one herbal remedy I can take to lessen symptoms.
I've read that Valerian, St. Johns Wort, Siberian Ginsing, Turmerie, Calendula and many more are good to use. What I need is 1 pill (hopefully:) that doesn't cost a fortune and will help along with the precription meds and the physical therapy that I'm involved with.
Any Advice?

Hi, Lauren, and welcome!  I'm so glad you joined in.
I started using malic acid/magnesiium supplements last December and they have helped me a lot with pain and fatigue.  I'll bump up the thread all about it.  Read through it.  It explains how this helps, too.  They are not expensive...at least where I get them.  Hope this helps you.
Meanwhile, I hope to hear more from you.

Hi Lauren,

I just wanted to pop in and welcome you to the forum. I, like Sherrine, take the malic acid/magnesium supplement. And it works for me. Makes things a lot easier and less painful.

Good luck in finding what works for you.

hugs, Karen

Welcome Lauren to Healing Well. I'm glad you joined us.

Be careful with St John's wart and over the counter herb supplements. While a lot of them are harmless, some of them can interact with your prescription medications. Be very careful. Best to check with your doctor before taking any of them.

Keep posting and I look forward to hearing from you.

Gentle Hugs

I think it's really hard to find one remedy that will do everything with the all natural herbal stuff. I ordered some malic acid/magnesium pills the other day so I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet.

When I'm in severe pain I currently take ginger root extract. It's something that has helped me in the past for migraines, and I found it to to work well for bad pain with flare ups. I like it because there are no side effects except for maybe some heartburn, but that can be prevented if you take it with food. The only problem is I can't afford to take it on a daily basis. It's kind of pricey, or at least it is for me, and requires a high dose. So I only take it when I really need it.

Welcome Lauren! I'm still a newbie mostly, but wanted to say you've come to the right place. So much caring and support here. The people on this forum are amazing.

I don't have any advice for an all-in-one herbal rememdy, but I've been taking Malic Acid supplements for about 3 weeks and it's helped with the pain somewhat. Read what Sherrine has to say about it. She's our expert :)

Enjoy your time here!

I've been taking the malic acid/magnesium for over four years and don't know how I'd get along without it. I get mine from Puritan.com.
